If penguin is now part of the regular algorithm do you think serps will change more regularly than they did before?

I.E. sites may get in and out of algorithmic penalties more frequently causing more serp changes as compared to if penguin is updated once a year.

Pointless speculation that doesn't really lead to anything constructive, IMHO. Get on with ranking your sites as you normally would and if/when something happens, change and adapt.

True man. The algorithms don't make much of a difference to me honestly. Good content plus quality links are key regardless.

What then, is it that ranks your sites?

Word man. The algorithms are important but I guess what I mean is if I stick to the principals of good content and high quality/authority types of links (without over optimizing anchor texts), I think my site will have a high chance of being ok regardless of penguin or panda updates.

One thing I have noticed in the past few days, has anyone seen a sharp uptick in youtube videos in the serps?

I've seen a rise on all my videos in the serps and they are all for different subjects with different link building strategies. Anyone else see the same?

It won't increase manual penalties theoretically and it surely won't make sites get out of manual penalties quicker. It may change how Google weighs links faster, up and down... and it will feed data into the algo faster we assume. But this is all we can guess for now.

I don't get it. I don't really know Ste Hughes though. If you're implying that authority links aren't good for seo I wouldn't agree with you. I've seen a stronger effect from using articles/links from authority sites than using PBN's.
