    Hey guys,

Bear with me, I'm finding my IM feet and still playing about with various tools including GSA SER. I've only ran a few campaigns within GSA, only two since the rollout out Penguin 4.0, however, I am wondering whether it's an effective strategy these days at all?

Check out this article from their forum: http://forum.gsa-online.de/discussion/21535/gsa-ser-after-penguin-4-0
-- Hope I'm not contravening any rules here, to be honest, I'd like to bring this into discussion here because their forum is a little "thin"

Nevertheless, I'd like to see what effects people have seen with GSA SER post Penguin 4, perhaps it's a little too soon?

Alternatively, feel free to drop your own comments with regards to link spam post Penguin 4 and what can be done,

    All the best,

GSA is just a tool, not a strategy, there are 101 ways of using it. So as a tool, it would be good enough so long as backlinking works.

GSA is done, if it takes PBN links weeks to get indexed how long you think it will take for GSA links to get indexed?

You can still use it to help get your other links indexed but that's about it.

As far as ranking a site solely with GSA links, that's pretty much hard to do unless you have almost no competition.

I still use it for link diversity as well as pumping up my tier 1 and tier 2 links.

Finding contextual article sites to post to is the only thing that has become more difficult since

Google has stopped indexing new posts for some sites that GSA posts to. Even though the root domain is indexed in Google new pages are not being picked up.

But GSA is far from dead, especially with the release of SEREngines 2.0 that allow you to create web 2.0 posts on authority sites.

GSA is a tool, best used for tier 2's and tier 3's if you have strong tier 1s. I wouldn't call it a waste, but it definitely isn't where it once was.

Oh shit, I best just hang up my boots :p

Gonna test the software more with some old sites that I care little about, see what sticks and what doesn't. I'll have to look into SEREngines 2.0 - seems like that could be the way forward

Their forum in not "thin" mate, a whole forum around a product with hundreds of articles...its pretty amazing imo

anyway, i think there is still room for GSA, not as a main bullet, but just to grab some authotity to PBN or satellites rather than your main seo strategy.

Perhaps "thin" was the wrong word to use. By raising the question over here, it removes the bias and it questions the usefulness of the tool in current SEO.

As mentioned above, I'm going to test it further, but after a week of blasting one particular site, I have seen zero effect!

SEREngines 2.0 have only 12 websites :( . I still waiting but I think RankerX is better option for web 2.0 now. It gives you more genuine links than GSA. GSA's the perfect tool for Tier2/3 backlinks.
