PDF to EPUB converter?

    Anyone know the best PDF to EPUB converter?

    I used a free online one but the webste guy said its not formatted correctly.

    Not sure if it will work but I have always used Calibre for PDF to ebook

    Looks like it will work

    Input Formats: CBZ, CBR, CBC, CHM, EPUB, FB2, HTML, LIT, LRF, MOBI, ODT, PDF, PRC**, PDB, PML, RB, RTF, SNB, TCR, TXT
    Output Formats: EPUB, FB2, OEB, LIT, LRF, MOBI, PDB, PML, RB, PDF, SNB, TCR, TXT

    Yes Calibre is the best out there, I use it for my kindle all the time.

    I tried Calibre but it made a mess of my book. I actually cheated since I also have my book on Smashwords. They do a good job of formatting into a variety of formats and I sued their conversion. Their conversion looks good on the various readers. You can also try the Word 2007 plugin from Aspose.

    Hey mate
    I ws about to install Calibre

    How did you convert it for Smashwords then and how idd it ess your ebook up, as I have my ebook on Amazon but Smashwords distribute on Apple Ibooks etc which is abig market?

    hey, I am using calibre too but if you convert pdfs directly to epub, it comes out a little bit messy.. so here is a trick:

    convert your pdfs with mobipocket first (its free) to prc format. Then use that prc file and convert it with calibre to epub. (use the "mobipocket" profile in calibre! and select your ebook reader).

    I dont need to convert I just found.
    ALL I need is MS Word text and Smashwords convert

    Trying to get it accepted though is a nightmare

    Any samples how to get it right?
    I have copyright issue so I put that at the top and bottom
