I have a password protected pdf that I simply want to turn into text.
However I have the password for it.
But I have no idea how to get it into text.

    Any ideas?

Use the search function on this forum for Nitro pdf.
    failing that Foxit pdf
    failing that Accrobat 9 pro
or you could even try googling pdf editors.

You can use Adobe PDF Professioanal or NitroPDF to turn it into text or the free tool online (http://www.pdftoword.com/).
If the text is image/picture then you can't convert it into text.
    Hope this helps.

Okay its not working because its password protected. Just like I thought.
I have the password to open it, but I guess I don't have the password needed to remove the password. lame.

Now I'm trying some password remover stuff.

There is also a setting in the "security settings" I think, where you can "allow" copying, or deny it. You'll prolly have to have the password to change it though.

So if you have the password for it, you can open the PDF files with Adobe Acorbat, then decrypt the pdf file.

also, if you do not have adobe acrobat, you can use PDF to Word converter to convert your pdf file to Word file so you can edit the text. I know that Adreamsoft PDF to Word Converter is a suitable one.

Can you open your PDF file in PDF reader then click File, Save as Text?

Hi cooolr, since you have the open password for the pdf file that is easy. I had the smiliar problem before. After some search work in google, i found anybizsoft pdf to word converter to http://www.anypdftools.com/pdf-to-word.html#153, to break the security set by authour for no copying, editing.

You may have a free trial to convert 3 pages. It is good.
