Just noticed quite a few of my PBNs have been de indexed.

Would google de index because nothing has been published for a long time? Or does it not work like that?

It's pretty natural for google to de-index a PBN if there are some footprints. There's also a possibility for your competitor to report it to Google if they are able to find it out through ahrefs/majestic or whatever link research tool.

De-indexed PBN = game over, let the domains expire, build new PBN. Unfortunately it usually means that the linked money site(s) got hit by an unnatural links penalty, too.

Google invests a lot into manual reviews nowadays. I bet this trends will only increase.

Your sites might simply don't "look" good enough to pass.

The reasons why Google included you in the "manual review list" in the first place have been mentioned above.

How do you know what Google invest in exactly?

I would say manual reviews are on the decline. They are primarily in the mega-competitive markets like casino etc. But they are not going after the little guys at all.

Mate the simple answer is no.

Unless you are in a sketchy niche that gets govt pressure (payday/pharma) you won't get a manual review. Don't believe the untested propaganda

I agree with this. I would say as well that manual actions are mostly categorized and that a bit different rules apply to different niches regardless of competition. Look at it this way, it is important for google to have proper results shown for something health related, and indeed does not give a fuck about how your lawn is cared and what is lawn mower that you are going to use for that purpose.

It's not at all about footprints. Google is working on a Algo that will boot away sites with thin content. As far as PBN is concerned, unnatural link structure will invite a quality penalty. If you're still relying on PBNs to rank your sites it's time to wise up and take notice of changes.

Google already has an algo to "boot away" thin content, the same with unnatural link structures. You've highlighted absolutely no changes.

Google is all about machine learning, so it's only reasonable to believe that they invest lots in manual reviews and then feed that into their A.I. ...it's only going to get worse for your type of business model.

If you still insist on doing PBN, autoblogging, bots -- just be ready and make sure you have the resources to churn and burn. Personally have tried for years and it's only churn and burn that makes sense in fighting the big G. Then again, it's only gonna get worse.

I cannot be too direct here. If you didn't understand what it implies you never will. You need to read between the lines.

So if the PBN has good content and a great link structure, no concerns.

Honestly, if you treat each PBN site like a money site, Google would struggle to tell. And NO algo would catch it.

Just talking from personal experience and what I hear from other seasoned SEOs.

Once I upped my game and started to invest into design, my sites de-index rate dropped dramatically. With all other things being taken care of equally.

No man that's not what I meant.
