Let's say I have 4 money sites on the same host, but then I have 30 or so PBN links to these money sites, wouldn't the fact that all the money sites are owned by the same person be a foot print?

Would it be wise to choose seperate hosting for different money sites with WHOIS Protection?

    Thanks guys!

Yes, Private registration with different servers in different regions works best. Everything should be changed.

You can make a poor mans PBN attached to the same server and same info and still see results but you will yield top protection and SERP with high quality. I say go with the best you got.

if all the incoming links are same ( like from same network) and all the money sites are on same hosting, Its a big foot print.

You can go for who.is protection and host 2 sites somewhere else ...just to be careful.

Are they coming from the same PBN? If so, then yes, move them as fast as you can.

It would be safer to host these websites on different hosts and to have private whois on domains.

If you're using them on same host, then at least put them on different IPs

    Randomize it.
Some sites will use CDN like cloudflare. Others just on your hosting. Others use a different IP.

I host all my amazon affiliate sites on the same host. Never ran into any problems, google was totally fine with it. Then I ordered some linkbuilding and the guy effed up hard. Lots of spammy links from weird pages. I disavowed the links and a few days later, all pages in my Webmaster Tools Account were penaltied!

    Lessons learned:
    1. Use the disavow tool with caution.
    2. USE THE DISAVOW TOOL WITH CAUTION!
    3. Only disavow when you see a negative impact.
    4. As long as your sites have a good quality, things are fine. Even on the same host/gwt.
    5. When you issue a review of your penalty, write as if you write a letter. Apologize for what you have done wrong. State what you have done wrong and how you fixed it. Say that your site now no longer violates the guidelines.
    6. Don't be overly paranoid, that will paralize you from making decisions and taking action.

    Of course, it is...

I always host my sites between several shared hosting companies just to make sure. I also make sure that they are registered privately to avoid such footprint.

Yes, Hosting on different IPs is definitely an added advantage. You need not put all your eggs in one basket. It is definitely a Foot-print. Make sure its WHO IS protected.

Not when your site has links from other sources rather than just your PBN. Also, to avoid leaving a footprint, don't link to all your money sites from all your PBN blogs. In other words, no single PBN blog should contain links to all your money sites.

What if I had the same adsense account on all the money sites.

Would then it make sense for them to be on separate IP's and hostings?

It would still be better to have your money sites on different hosts altogether. Different IPs is okay if it is a widely used and reputable hosting company (like Rackspace or GoDaddy for example), but completely different hosts is better if you're really concerned about your footprint.

Using different hosts/ips for your money sites will minimize your footprint, but having the same adsense account linked to all your money sites will still leave a footprint with Google. That doesn't necessarily mean that your sites will get slapped, but it is always a possibility. Whether or not you want to do this just depends on your risk tolerance for losing rankings on those sites.

You disavowed too soon, and across all sites. Caused a manual review and you flunked the manual review. Good story for caution.

#1 rule in life... if you don't know what to do DO NOTHING AT ALL. Panic and paranoia causes more harm than spam for sure.

It may be helpful to host them on different servers.
