As the title suggests my PBN tier 1 site is not seeing any movement for keywords I have targeted.

It's a small PBN for now (under 10 sites) so I'm not expecting any miracles, but I'm still not ranking for any of my target keywords at all after 5-6 weeks. Not even top 100 as far as I can see.

    • its a pretty new site, with hardly any links into it previously so this is probably the reason.
    • I also had issues getting the tier 2 sites re-indexed (they were expired domains obviously) for weeks which may have slowed the process (although this has mostly been sorted for a couple of weeks now)
    • I have got a few okay links built into tier 1 as well as making up a tier 3 to try and speed up the process of SE's picking up the tier 1 site (I did this after a few weeks of no action)
    • link checkers are picking up the PBN links into the tier 1 now as well for a while, but still nothing.

Do I just need to be patient and wait longer? Or do i need to take further action?

You haven't experienced ANY movement in those 5-6 weeks?

Are your PBN domains indexed? When did you place the links?

no I'm not related to that guy, and in general I know what the score is here with such a small amount of domains in the PBN.
I've used a small amount as a test basically, and just wondered when I should see SOME movement to show it is working, as in start to get into the top 100 or top 50 or whatever.

No movement at all, which is why I'm starting to get worried I need to look at something else.
Yeah they are indexed, nut its only happened relatively recently (last couple of weeks) and some still arent full indexed. The link was always placed contextually on the homepage, at least.

And yes it has been answered for him but I think this is a slightly different situation so any input would be appreciated (and I hope I know a little more than the OP from that thread :) )

Looks like your domains might not be good.

10links are not enough. You need to create more links from good domains.

No one is saying this but pbns seem to have been de-valued.

Either they are detecting them better or the ranking algo has been altered in a way to look for a certain mix or something but I've noticed the difference since late 2014 to now in terms of pbns.

Yeah I thought that, but they all have decent metrics (one I've subsequently found was used for marketing purposes for a small period of time a few years ago, nut nothing particularly dodgy) and some get direct and referral traffic themselves still.
My tier 1 is a relatively old domain but that was put up and not built uopn for years, so doesnt have much in the way of history despite its age, and is clean.

    Ideas?

Yes to get good rankings I agree, but not just to rank in the top 100. A few well placed and relevant links should be enough for that, if not more.

I think poeple are still using PBNs successful in 2015. Might not be as affective, but should still be enough to get into the top 50...?

Thank you! That was driving me crazy, couldn't find the thread then I skimmed over the BH SEO section.

Well, no movement at all means that either your moneysite is slapped, or you are yet to experience the bump from the PBN. I'd wait a few more weeks.

Also, try checking the cache of your pBN domains, maybe Google has indexed them, but hasn't recrawled since you placed the links ?

Yeah that is my feeling, hence being worried about having to start with new tier 1.

Yeah I also thought that, so I checked the cache previously and links were there.

update: on rechecking, seems the site that gets the most referral and direct traffic from tier 2 isnt getting indexed properly in google. The other tier 2 sites are though, and a few of them also get a fair bit of direct traffic/referrals.

How would Google know it's a PBN to start with? How can they devalue something they don't know exists?

If they know, then you're doing something wrong ;)

How new is your website? I noticed in the past few months that it takes longer for a website to start appearing in SERPs (in some cases even up to 3 months). I guess it's another of those security measures from Google to prevent new low quality sites from ranking.

The website itself isnt new, but hasnt been used much over the years, and doesnt really have a backlink profile. I think this is the reason it is taking a while, or I hope anyway!

What is the TF of your network sites and whats about their backlink profile?

Try to get a few more links from other sources such as web 2.0, profiles etc. for more diversification.

Yep I've done that, and hopefully it will help.

They've all got TF of between 10-20 so not massive but not nothing. and have relatively small but clean BLP, 70-300 BL.
So this might be why it taken a while for traction, but this long still doesn't seem right for any traction at all...

There's not much to it OP. Google is random and we need to accept that.

You can take care of the basics, i.e, making sure it's strong domains, making sure the links are indexed, making sure your domain is indexed etc etc, but NO ONE can tell you something that will magically make those links boost your SERP results.

Be patient and keep building links, you might wake up one morning at the top of Google :)
