Anyone in every moment can have a PBN de-index!
Google is fighting this movement and there will be penalties until there are morons who do not know nothing on how to make a PBN!

There's no recent algorithm update that would automatically target and penalize all the PBNs, they were probably penalized after manual review.

When you search for link opportunities or checking out link profiles of competition, you will most likely run to some kind of PBN networks. If you recognize them in few seconds, so can Google's anti-spam team.

Google is already slowly devaluing links from non-relevant sites that don't have the highest authority, but if PBN is setup correctly and not abused, I doubt they will be totally devalued any time soon.

PBNs mostly don't have inner links, every article links to 1-2 external websites, most of links are not in the same niche and there's no article in them that wouldn't link anywhere. Biggest problem is because people have 20 websites for link building, and all of them link to the same 50 moneysites. If I can spot it with free MajesticSeo account and Moz tools in 10 minutes, Google probably can in 0.1s with their billion-dollar technoloty.

That's something to take into a consideration if you want to feel "safe" when Google releases a new algorithm, but it costs more money than ever before.

the Hayden team had some of the quality PBN and was the first to introduce link injection system to PBN. Their sites had 2-3 articles without any links to money sites and had logos and premium themes for their site. If they followed what they preached, their sites were some of the tough ones to find out (except hosting), so if their network got deindexed there is some cause for concern.

At this stage I'm more inclined to believe that their PBN was hit purely because they are well known. Maybe google wants to put people off using PBNs by hitting the well known people in the community.

I lost over 100 PBN sites in last 4 weeks.

I did so much research on it and I figured out main reason for de-indexation was saturated IP addresses.
some of the sites got re-indexed after switching hosting.

Well, PBNs will never be dead if you treat them similar to your money site and take all the precautions and link only to your site. Its when greed gets onto you, the problem arises. If your money site cannot be dead, so can PBN as it has to be treated as yet another money site and links only to your money site and not to every tom dick and harry's sites in every niche out there. You will notice that there will only be miniscule of these sites get deindexed if they are only been used as 'Private' blog network site and not 'I'm Private', give me money and I will put your viagra links on it.

people just don't use their heads. i have yet to meet one guy that leaves no footprints with his PBM. most people leave huge footprints that could even be detected with an algorithm.

then some noobs start crying PBNs dont work, they're dead, whatever. that's so retarded is amazing those people call themselves SEOs. if a properly built PBN can get detected and penalized, then the very same day the entire internet would get penalized.

Loving the reaction this post by nohatdigital is getting. People have been getting their PBN's hit all the time, its nothing new. Somewhere along the line they have left a footprint, and my own guess is google went after them because they are a big player in PBN's. Loads of people follow Hayden and his team because they are good at this, but that doesn't mean they are safe from getting penalized. Its one network that's been reported as being hit not all PBN's online. However this is a wake up call, PBN's are for the big boys, don't waste your time setting one up if you're not willing to drop some big money making them into real sites, the days of 5 page sites each full with 5-10 OBL is over! The old link building saying is still true 'quality not quantity'

I am still analyzing several niches and several pages 1 of Google, and all the sites I've been analyzing for the past 3 months weren't hit. Keyword stuffing (8%), incoming links with exact anchor at 20%, 95% links from PBNs, and they are still dominating pages 1 in Google without a problem.

Spencer (Nichepursuits.com) also published a post saying that many of his sites that used PBN links got hit and got "Thin content" warning on GWT, but because nearly all of the sites I have been analyzing for the past few months are still dominating the 1st pages despite them being much less quality, I believe this has something to do with larger PBNs and Google's manual reviews. There was probably no algorithm change after all.

PBN sites are on googles target for a longer time. Its more and more difficult to build footprint free PBN's and thats the reason why many real marketers left PBN months ago

Propoganda. Ask yourself this. Do you keep stats on your PBN say in something called Google Analytics? It could be a good way to tell Google that hay all these sites just might be linked together.
