    Quick question

Would you rather choose #1 or option #2?

    1. The SAME cms that was before along with the SAME content and url structure?

so the backlinks pointing to geycomps.com/consoles/xbox will point to that again, then you interlink ur post with link from that place

    2. New cms, new url structure, new content in different (rebrandable and/or similar)niche, redirect existing link juice pointing to old url structure to homepage or to new posts

I am not fan of rebuilding the previous sites.

As most people here know, getting a niche relevant domain is a pain in the ass. And even if you manage to get one, it will rarely be super relevant. We are talking about backlink relevancy now.

Let's just say you got an amazon site selling dress shoes for women. But, you found a great domain called (for the sake of example), "DemNikeShoez.com". Well shoes and shoes, that's niche relevant, right? Yes, I agree, it is indeed almost precise., which is as good as it gets with niche relevant domains.

Now you decide to rebuild the site. You will recreate the content about Nike shoes and have, let's say, 50 articles about how awesome Nike shoes are. And then you just put there your article about dress shoes. And this is bullshit. The niche relevancy of the content must be spot on. It has to be as narrow as possible and as laser targeted as possible. You want your content to be just about the dress shoes ideally and your main article linking to your site targeting longtails of your actual keyword.

I believe rebuilding the sites, besides possibly getting you into trouble for coyprighted content, deprives people of free link juice achieved by perfect contextual niche relevancy.
