PBN research = PR 3 (fake), PA/DA 25+ each? Why fake PR?

    Hey guys,

I am basically re-starting from scratch after selling most of my sites and services and I've never built a
PBN and definitely times for easier rankings long term, so a couple questions quite a few might also have..

Expireddomains.net gives you; fake page rank, (valid) page rank and sometimes and doesn't even say anything..I am assuming
page rank from all these sites and softwares is just reference from old time PR before Mr Cutts decided to eliminate page rank back in
    December/2013..right?

Confused a bit here as some sites carry 'ok' PR, PA/DA 20+ each and referral links in majesticseo service shows more than 20 links still
active and not deleted, yet expireddomains.net tells me it's a fake PR not only with 1 domain but with quite a few I've spent hours
researching..reasons why? Just speculation and I shouldn't take these details as complete fact? There has to be more reasons?

Forget PR. Its an outdated metric. Hasn't been updated since long and I guess it never would be.
    Go with CF and TF.

Still most if not all the up to date seo sites provide PR reference. Crazy stuff. I am thinking TF/CF like you said, aged domain
and between today and tomorrow I'll make my mind between a 5-10 PBN DA 30+/TF 15+ or a 25 site network DA 20+/TF 10+ without
many aged domains. Love this stuff!

p.s - nice web 2.0 pbn service, bookmarked!

And don't forget to check the backlinks for spam. Also go through wayback archives and make sure that domain don't have any weird chinese stuff on it in the past.

Chinese poppycock jaja! I saw that all over yesterday with what initially appeared to be awesome domains. In my multifaceted mode right
now doing the above, on the money.

PR checkers are just automated scripts that check some index for links. They can make mistakes.

The only answer is to check the backlinks yourself.

For all those who say PR doesn't matter, if the site is older than 2013 then it should have PR from those times. If it doesn't chances are it was a weak site then and is *probably* a weak site now.

But in the end, check the links.

PR is outdated, Google is not even considering that metric anymore. Check with Moz's metrics DA and PA, and also check its backlinks from Ahref's tool, as its indexing is much better than moz's. And if anything looks shady, i wouldn't buy.

use majestic metrics instead of Moz. Also toolbar PR has not been updated since ages now.

As many others have said, I wouldn't worry about PR.
Best bet would be to make sure the other metrics are decent and ok.
Then the final and most important step would be to check the anchor text distribution, archive.org for past content, and the backlinks themselves.

If everything checks out, you're good.

Also, to note about the domain not being indexed if you happen to come across that:
Doesn't mean its been penalized, just means you'll need to get it re-indexed by reviving the website, adding content, and sending some backlinks.
