Hi guys, so I have a PBN. It have several links from Wikipedia. It is a sub local news site which is owned by a local large news company.

So there are several wikipedia links pointing to several articles in it. So i am wondering if I should rebuild the old article sites individually from archive.org or build a brand new blog site and 301 all links to homepage?

I am worried that rebuilding the site may cause copyright issues which I should not risk it right?

So better option is rebuild a new blog site in this case? But eventually the wikipedia links will be removed right, since the article is gone? Or i should rebuild only those articles that have wikipedia links? What's your opinion guys? Thanks.

You rebuild all pages that have good backlinks, but with different content. Scrape it from another archived site.

If you really want to keep the Wikipedia links, I would have unique, relevant, high-quality, well-researched content written on the subject that the Wikipedia links are referencing. Re-establish the old URL or edit the Wikipedia listing to point to the new URL.

Personally, I wouldn't sweat keeping the Wikipedia links. They barely generate any additional traffic and are nof0llow. IMO a blog comment on a niche-relevant website is just as good of a backlink.

I see rebuilding as a major footprint, how easy would i t be for Google to just check archive.com and compare old content on their site with domains that are expired and all of the sudden re-appear with the same content (that most of the times have been off line for months/years)

I could write code for that app and i don't write code... Why not just rebuild the site, why do you people always take the lazy road and then come here and complain how your shit is de-indexed and blame everything but your laziness.

Ohw well more room for me...

Definitely, DON'T just redirect those pages. They have more value as re-created pages.

They can be used for diversify your anchor text ratio of your money site for example. They are great for less-optimized keywords / anchor texts.

You should have no problem simply re-creating the website from archive.org.

However, what I like to do is re-create the URLs and make everything else brand new.

As for keeping those Wikipedia links live...

I would either use the exact copy of the original page text or close rewrite. That pages must reference what it's supposed to reference or the link will get removed by mods.
