couple of weeks ago, I bought a domain. I checked all the numbers, they were good. looked at the backlinks, no signs of spam.

anchor text: good. numbers: good. spam: no

so I got it and wrote a couple of pages and uploaded. I didnt put my link in yet. Usually, I wait a couple of weeks before putting in my link, just so things look more legit.

Alright, so I was about to put my link today, but I thought "wait a second, I never checked archive.org"
so I went and checked, and this is a domain that expired in 2011 and someone bought it and redirected it to their "buy viagra" site. :(

so am I screwed now? should I abandon that domain? would putting my link on there get me penalized? if the answer is yes, can I sell it so at least I get some of my money back?

I wanna know what would actually happen if the site gets indexed and you used it?

nonai, I see you;re posting threads about expired domains pretty much every day and i have noticed that you;re clueless about it. Sure, you know something but I think you still need to learn a lot in order to create a spam free PBN
you are so lucky for knowing how to do this when you came out of your mother and you didn't have to ask any questions.

Apparently you don't know SkyrocketSEO....

checking archive.org is probably the last and the most important step one shouldn't miss out. Keep that in mind and skip the redirected domains as they have a high chance to lose their PR

Don't bother making your own PBN, go use one that's out there and built already.

You'll save yourself headaches and blowing money on worthless domains.

when you are buying domains first of all check it in:
1) spamhaus.org/lookup/
2) archive.org
3) ahrefs or openlinkprofiler

I've actually ranked domains that expired and had previously been abused. I think G knows when they change ownership. If you don't see any spam links to the domain I doubt you'd get a penalty if you receive a link from it, but I won't guarantee it :p.

Well you learn from mistakes, though nothing should keep you from trying to rank it so you see how it works.
