This is so f*in weird and depressing, I test my PBN links all the time and only those that perform well are used. Weirdly I would place the link to my website and nothing would happen.

I am not saying a week, it has been a month and nothing has happened. What is going on?

What do you mean exactly? Your rankings or something else?

I mean first I send links to competitor sites and see if they are powerful and only then I send the links to my website. From my PBN that is.

    Yup indexed

Not Google dance because they aren't moving that much but I don't know about flagged. All the keywords have sort of come to an halt.

I think this is a bad thing to do.... Id never link my competitors site, then change the link.

No that is fine because I have also avoided some very bad PBNs cause of it. Plus I get an understanding of its power.

What if they also add their link at the same time?

Stop linking to your competitor. Instead you should learn how a good domain looks like. All domains I buy I KNOW are powerful and will help me rank. Stop wasting money on crap domains by guessing if they are good or not.

This strikes me as a bad attitude to take. You're not getting results, and someone offered you help. Your response should not be that you know better. I happen to agree with the other posters that you shouldn't be linking to a competitor's site and then changing the links to your site.

Since you've already done this, it would be helpful if you gave more specifics. Are these exact match anchors? How does your overall anchor text compare to your competitor?

I advise you to choose the domains more thoroughly) And don`t link to your competitors
