Hello, I've bought some dropping websites recently with a quite good link profile. My question is can I use archive net to copy and paste previous text or do I have to come up with something new and write the blog from scratch?

You can do either. There are some services that will recreate the site from IA on your behalf. You can do it yourself or you can start a new site on a similar topic.

Whatever you do just take your time and do it well and do it a bit differently for each one.

Sorry didnt mean do your new site different to the original, i meant if you build more than one site, use a different approach for each one - ie dont just copy archive every time because you dont want any footprint.

And also dont to it "asap" take your time and do it properly, high quality etc and the end result will be more valuable.

It is up to you really. Just make it look legit, and fill it with contextual content

Hi, @patlang. I always have a strong bias to unique content. My question is, does the content you're referring to belong to the exact same website?

If that's the case, then, I don't see a reason why you should be worried about re-publishing the exact same content it has had. Your plan is to re-publish it on the same website, isn't it?

I generally recreate the site using the same content, images etc and add in a link to the site I am promoting with it. I may not always use anchor text and I may not always use a contextual link either.

Sometimes I'll even link an image to the site I'm trying to rank but I do like to recreate the site so that it looks as it did back when it was live.

Have you had any problems with copyright doing this (or that they simply just moved their site to another domain and you're using duplicate content?). It'd for sure make my PBNs more cost-effective and less time spent per PBN so I am interested in learning more about this if you could shred some light :)

If the site you are promoting is in the same niche as expired domain then go grab the archive content and use it. However, if your money site is in a totally different niche then the content is of no use.

I have never experienced any copyright issues as long as you are careful not to trigger any big brand keywords with this.

Never had an issue with that at all and I have a whole lot of them in my portfolio.

I do check to see if the content was moved to a new site though and if so I don't even use the domain but that is pretty rare when I come across that. Usually, if a company abandons a url for a new url they rebrand and don't bring their old content with them with the exception of contact and location info.

Copyscape is a pretty accurate option for that.

You can always put a sentence or two in quotation marks and check using Google.

Here is an example - http://bit.ly/2qG1OjT

It will take you right back to this thread.

You can use smallseotools, but that's not too accurate. The best method is taking 32 characters and searching them on Google like BTB mentioned.
