I have a web 2.0 page, more or less like etsy. It's a product display page. I managed to get that page indexed on Google

which of the following backlink service I should use on my web 2.0 page to push my rank?
Would a a bunch of social signals be good enough? Or should I use PBN or guest posting? And where can I buy it from?

- Guest posts
- Niche edits
- Forum links
- Some social media shares
etc

But if you want to rank... analyse your competition and see what links they get to rank.

Competition is almost dead. I targeted a low traffic keyword, about 40 searches per month. I did my on page seo well. So far non of my competitors have on page optimization.
Would social media shares on its own work in such a case?

I'm confused now... so why do you care about backlinks if you already rank #1???
You can't really improve your rankings any more.

Social media shares are mainly for traffic and branding and have no bearing on rankings.

The ability to maintain rankings is required.

Sadly too many people think building a few links and then everything is good. they don't consider the rivals are link building on a continuous basis.

It is true that SEO is an ongoing process.
You said it yourself... building a few links now and forgetting about it is pointless.

I was describing for you the competition medium in which I am trying to rank.
I never said I was ranking #1. I am actually 22nd.

regarding your comment : "Social media shares are mainly for traffic and branding and have no bearing on rankings."
Does that mean that I can't use social shares on its own to increase my rank? Keep in mind that the competition is nearly zero. in the mentioned case above

OK, now it makes sense.
1. My favourite method to get links is by analysing the competition and trying to replicate their links. Some of their links will be very easy to replicate whereas others might be expensive and hard. I'm not the biggest fan of PBN's and niche edits as I consider guest posts safer. As for where to buy? Visit the marketplace and buy guest posts on sites with real traffic.
2. I haven't seen a single case study or test to suggest that social shares help to improve rankings. I use social media and I haven't see any improvements.

I'd go with PBNs first, niche edits 2nd, guest posts 3rd. And I'd definitely use social signals, as well. Being mentioned on social media is always good, SEO-wise

You can try Guest posts. Google ranks sites that have guest postings well in its search results. Many sellers have good products to offer in the BHW marketplace.

You should ask yourself.

Do you know SEO. You can have the best links, but if the UX and content is crap. you are going to lose your money.

Try to find what is working for your competitors and try to replicate, Check the anchor text, number of links built per month. Compare your UI, UX and content with your competitor.

I would suggest Guest post and niche edit for ranking, you can find plenty of top sellers in the Link building section or post requirement on the Hire a freelancer section.

If you know how to build a PBN that would be most effective, you can buy expired domains here in the Marketplace for a few hundred dollars.

Or just rent some PBN links if you see a positive ROI
