Is there a rule of thumb for how much importance should be placed on getting links from sites with more domain authority than yours versus sites with less domain authority than yours?

I try to get links from sites with as high DA or DR as possible, but I also have a PBN, and I have noticed that the DA/DR of my money site has surpassed the average DA/DR of sites on my PBN.

Should I keep acquiring domains for my PBN even though most of the domains I am able to acquire have a DA/DR the same as, or less than, my money site? Or, should I now shift my focus to getting links from high authority domains?

DA,PA and TF isn't anything worth looking for any longer. The BL structure is what you should look at. Where are the back links coming from (high authority sites) and have they been used for spam or PBN's before.

Very true. I only mention DA/DR because it's quantifiable.

As far as finding domains for my PBN, I have a minimum DA/DR threshold prospective domains must meet, and the rest is all backlinks and clean/no spam. Some of my PBN domains have like 3 backlinks.
