I've been trying all night to get an expired domain that meets the metrics standards and doesn't have spam backlinks from expireddomains.net and I'm having no luck.

I'm new to PBN's and I'm sure some of you have noticed I've made a lot of topics, just looking for some feedback/suggestions/ideas on what the best methods are to get PBN style domains for my first PBN. The ones I keep finding are either taken, way too spammy or people want me to buy them for upwards of $200.

Help a brother out if you can :D

I found over 10 quality PBN domains on ExpiredDomains.net. I think everyone has their best way to find good domains.
Tip: don't focus on the metrics, I just take the domains that have strong backlinks, clean history and still indexed. That's enough

I think he answered you already, he focuses on domains with good backlinks. Of course TF and CF metric is one of the ways to know a domain with good backlinks:)

You can check TF and CF >= 10 at least or not. If the domain has a good backlink profile, metrics are not very important

I don't think there is options for filtering TF and CF, only DA and PA, am I wrong?

You need to have your own method of finding expired domains, one that has not been shared yet. Everyone has access to expireddomains.net, no wonder you're not finding anything decent.
