    Hey guys,

I would like to know if I should use paypal for money transaction. I am selling my website and my client proposed to use paypal for the transaction.

He is willing to send the payment FIRST before I gave the domain away.

I heard lot of strange/bad story about paypal. Should I use paypal if he is willing to pay first? Can I still get scammed? Even if the transaction is complete and the money is in my paypal account, can I still get riped off?

    Thanks!

    On your screen...lol
I would suggest you send him a payment request and in the comments mention your disclosure stating he does not have the right to chargeback. Use your own wordings.

I would not worry about that. If he makes a charge back he can't really run away with the site. You should be able to return your domain and make his life pretty miserable.

You really shouldn't open multiple threads on the same subject....

You started one here.... People giving good advice.....

And for my final thought. If you use Paypal you can get scammed, and regardless of what anyone says, you WILL NOT get your money back. Period. That is their terms of service. Period.

If you are so worried about Paypal, then DON'T USE THEM. Period......This is pretty straightforward.Period.

Moneybooker is safer for digital items, but are not as widely used due to not being available in as many countries.....Here is a link for EXTRA security on Moneybookers escrow service. (Made especially for domain transfers)

    http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=escrow

PS....I am only offering Moneybookers as an alternative to Paypal. There are other services available too, like Escrow, etc. But they are expensive and only worth doing if the amount is high.

take the money as your are selling a service. so after domain transfer complete if he open a dispute. paypal can't refund the money. because a service is not visible like product and paypal will close the dispute. i am having same problem and this is the only way to get rid of it.

    thanks.

Im gonna use MoneyBookers, it seems safer.

It seems that the buyer have to start the transaction. What happen if he doesnt select the escrow option? Would he be able to chargeback?
