Paypal wants my supplier

I have to complete a resolution in my paypal account because paypal wants to know the name, number and address details where I get my phones, laptops and electronics from. They wont allow me to send money until I provide them with the info. Can anyone help me with a USA company that sales cell phones and laptops pretty cheap so I can get this fixed?

Any help would be appreciated. My reserves got hit and actually had to sell a couple items lol.

This is some bullshit. You need to have a lawyer contact them. This shit has to stop and it wont until there is court precedent.

P@ypal does not need to know these things nor do they have the right to ask. IS this a legit account or did you buy it?

Odd. You might want to ask exactly why they need it, what they will do with it. Also ask the process to be bumped up to a higher level.

Seems pretty obvious that they believe that the products he is selling are either stolen or counterfeit. Some probably reported him.

There is everything they want to know. Further info for everyone. I have had my verified ebay account since March of 2001(real account). My Paypal account since 2002. I am not selling replicas nor anything for that matter lol. Come on people for those who know whats going on here give me a hand here and give a name and number of a company. I think this is pretty cut and dry.

You could tell them you buy them at auction by the skid, closeouts, Out of business sales. Anything but the truth.

PayPal asks for this information all the time for sellers they feel are selling counterfeits, etc.

But they will lift your limitation if you send them the docs they need. You can even fake them, and they will usually accept it. They usually do not verify the information. Same with any other docs you send them, they do not verify them. They just make sure the name and address match your account and they can clear you.

They want specifics. The want the name, the number and address to my supplier or suppliers. What a crock of shit. Or my account will still be on hold.

They just asked for a credit check and ssn on my 6 years old account. They say I can receive transfer money from and to my bank account but can't send money or close account. Yesterday I sent a $250 payment with no problem
I will not provide the info because the account is connectedre to an ebay account that is not doing so good with customer satisfaction. since sellers are not allowed to leave feedback buyers became agressive and leave lot of negative feedbacks even to just ask for tracking numbers

Dude For real call up PayPal and tell them they can screw off, Tell them that this violates trade secrets and trust me man you should call a lawyer and tell them that Paypal is violating your intellectual property rights, and is trying to force you to divulge trade secrets that you don't wish to give up. And Although you don't hold a patent or exclusive rights to the information you have, i mean 3rd parties are still able to use your information without you being able to sue them, but you still have rights as an individual to disclose your information. Tell them if they dont stop, your going to sue them for compensatory damages for holding up possible sales, you couldve made, say this is your fulltime job and they are preventing you form making income....Im serious though call an attorney.

Tell them that you are purchasing bulk electronics from repair centers that were using the electronics as spare parts. You purchase the lot of them then dismantle all until you can salvage enough components to rebuild a few complete units.

I would not be surprised at all if this was ust some douche bag from inside of PP trying to get your sources to start his own biz, and he is using this route to pressure into sharing your info.

I'm curious what if anything triggered this? Did you get a refund request and refuse to refund the money or anything else that happened you can point to. Or did this request come simply out of now where?

Unfortunately; they feel they can play god with peoples business.

I had this same thing happen a couple years back, selling xbox360's. There were a bunch of fraudulent sellers taking pre orders, so they froze my account with about 12K in it. Funny thing was; they still allowed me to receive payments, but I couldn't send any (to my supplier) or withdraw to bank or even close the account. I was freaked - it was around this same time of year; few weeks before xmas. I ended up sending them the info they wanted and they released the cash.

If you don't have an actual supplier; Just give them a buddys cell phone and address info and have him play Wholesaler.
