Hi. I sold some one a digital product (social media account), but they were unhappy with its quality and opened a dispute. We had a convo (within PayPal message center) I offered several options and finally the buyer accepted my replacement. Now PP says he accepted it but I must wait until the buyer marks dispute resolved; as of now I couldn't even reply to the case in PP message center but it still is opened and not resolved. But the buyer says he doesn't have an option to mark it resolved, I gave him a link to PP help page where it says how to do so but he insists it doesn't work for him, he said he's about to call PP but it's been a while now and no action from him, maybe because he got what he was after already and is not interested in any cooperation or whatnot. Anyway the question is - PP gave me a timeframe in which I should respond (like 3 weeks) and I am wondering what will follow when that time passes? Will PayPal unhold the money or will it still refund the other side (buyer)? Possibly I have to escalate it to claim (cause it is clear the buyer accepted my replacement) so PP gets in and gives back my balance? Never been in this claim boat (resolved all problems with buyers before), don't know what action shall PP take cause the product is digital (social media account).
