Well we all hear horror stories and here's another. So, christmas season we sold a lot of products. Most I have ever done and I got behind on transfering money to my bank from paypal. Well, right when i was going to transfer I got my account frozen. For no apparent reason and I can't even pay anyone. I have over $1,000 a month in expenses for tools and services and all of those are being rejected. I can still accept payments but can't do anything with the money.

Moment my account gets unfrozen, already getting a merchant account and taking all of that money out of there. Don't do paypal ever! Lesson learned. I seem to learn everything the hard way.

I cant withdraw my money to my local bank account.

And I think PayPal support is useless.

My daily routine is call and email them.
Already 2 weeks now, but the problem still dint resolve.

Never keep something in PayPal you cannot afford to loose.
I know how it is to loose real money to PayPal but I still use them. I just spread my money out.

To be honest I have never had any issue with PayPal for the past 3yrs that I have been using it. Its really pathetic to hear sad stories like this, well, I always advice to have plan B. Provide the details they need, get your money and don't leave huge sums in your PP account. Unfortunately, businesses cant survive or make much profit without the use of a popular merchant like PayPal. Just use PP for collection to be on the safer side.

I have used them for 3 years without any problems, but must admit I withdraw every week to my bank account just in case. Personally I wouldn't leave money in there as you never know...

Well, they have reinstated my account but have taken 5k to remain in account at all times and I have to wait 3 months to see money that I make today and so on. Already taken the rest out and moving towards merchant account. This is only the beginning with these shady fuckers!

Same here. I've been through the rounds with Paypal with my account getting limited frequently due to traveling and logging in from different locations, but was never something I couldn't fix with a 5 minute phone call. I've talked to quite a few people who have had rolling holds and completely frozen accounts, and time and time again the recurring theme I notice is nearly all of these providers are pulling EVERYTHING out of their Paypal account. This practice of leaving nothing at all in your Paypal account for refunds/chargebacks does not look good. Keep in mind Paypal assumes risk when you do things like this, and they need to take a proactive action to insure they don't get stuck with a $5,000+ chargeback bill.

Paypal makes money when you make money, it's not in their intention to screw you over and move to a new provider. If an account poses significant risk to them, how can you blame them for protecting themselves?
