Paypal strikes again. Yesterday a guy payed me $1k for something - then the next day BAM, all of a sudden its an "unauthorized" transaction. One day later.

Contacted paypal and of course that have "systems" in place that review if it is unauthorized or not.

What a joe. You can just buy something off someone claim it was an unauthorized transaction, and get your money back. Oh - you have to change your ip address first.

I'm not sure if I am going to take action against the guy who scammed me or not. I probably will.

Same bullshit happened to me I've lost about $3,000 <--- from this.. Paypal is fucking retarded I'm sure I had $3k worth of unauthorized transactions..

This is why I now do what you've stated.. Its complete bullshit I buy something on ebay I claim I never got it I get my money back and keep the goods.. Fuck its stupid

I've lost about $1500 because of "unauthorized" transactions and they ended up getting my service for free.

Fuck gaypal.

its good for the person whos doing it but only if you target people who have alot of cash and the money wont matter as much to them.... but seriously its sooo simple once you know the paypal system.....

but ye i would hate to be the guy having the money taken from me... especially if it was alot and for something big....

i need a new pc and laptop speaking about it..... annoying that ebay and paypal are connected as they could see that the two addresses matched.... urrrrmmmmm what big online company sells laptops and pc's without tracking and accepts paypal... the hunt goes on

you are not only the one, i have just stopped selling things around because of high no of scammers around and disputes they open.

How do you know it wasnt a phished paypal account and it was the same person scamming you?

I just wrote about this on another thread - ebay extortion

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/ebay/30059-ebay-extortion.html

It happened to me once, so now I say F the both of them.

I was online when a $500.00 payment came in so I immediately transferred it out. About a day and half later I got a notice that the charge was being disputed and they froze my account.

Luckily I got the $500.00 and closed out my bank account. Can't trust either of them with money so for me its best to not deal with them anymore.

This is why I don't sell via paypal unless it's $100 or less. Services should never be sold via paypal because you will never win a dispute.

so what do you do? open a merchant account and if so whom do you guys recommend?

I was ripped by the GUSTAPO known as paypal last month. I will never use those 'holier than thou' scumbag nazi's again!

I couldn't hate my ex as much as I hate paypal. And I really hate my ex!

Merchant account if your large enough. Or westernunion but then you add the scam feel

Yes this is the new one for everybody. Pay Pal should say o shit you lost your password to bad. But instead they protect the crocks!

But i am not taking it like a good boy, i know he got his stuff and i know where his gf lives. After next letter from PayPal its police time for him! Thai prison i hope you bring soap YMFER! Cyber crime and fraud is serious stuff in Thailand.

at first many paypal account got stolen, phished, or hacked ... and when this happen paypal investigate and most of the time they give credit to the buyer not the seller.. then people started to abuse the system... i think company as big as paypal should be able to differentiate which are real transaction and which one are fraud.. because this actually is the bread and butter of their business.. if they can't handle this, i am sure people will start filing for class action and paypal will be in business not for long..

What is the alternative to paypal which can do it well and charges less percentage of commission?

Thats why the software I'm developing im building in call home scripts, to check authorized serial numbers.

Payment chargeback = Screw you your license is invalid scammer.

I actually thought to go as far as building a backdoor into software, so I can screw them if they screw me

Bad to say but thats what you have to do now to make sure you get paid and stay paid.

Yeah, i've thought about this as well, but people REALLY dont like software to call home. They feel like you are stealing all their data.

The other problem is that i dont believe in encoding php (zend, etc). If you BUY a script, you should be able to modify it to your liking. Without encoding, serial number checks are pretty much useless.

I hear that, make your software phone home every time it is run, encrypt your executables. Sucks having to be a software nazi, but i have no time for jokers who try to screw me.

i'm surprised that paypal doesn't sell insurance...for both the buyer and seller..
