So about 3 months ago i decided to close my PP account due to me switching over to 2CO

24 days after closing that account i received an email saying that 2 disputes were made on items that i delivered, these were to the tune of $1500.

Now i have Paypal ringing me saying that i owe them money, when clearly i don't at all.

I have prepared legal documents in the form of CCA's and C&D's (Communication) ready for when the debt recovery agencies try ringing me or send me letters through my door..

Any Advice?

Talk to a lawyer?

Already have hence why legal documents have been prepared.. I have 3 lawyers in my family luckily enough. They said to send a CCA first on confirmation of receiving the first letter from the debt agency then if they keep pestering me send a C&D to tell them to cease communications.

They are not familiar with Paypal cases in the UK so thats the only advice i've been given.

If you have any proof of the delivery (tracking numbers and confirmations) provide that to PP. If PP goes to third party collectors make sure you get their street address, not P.O. Box, and send your C&D by certified mail with return receipt (which shows they got the paperwork). Modify the C&D to provide some way to reasonably reach you (through mail, or your attorney), as absolute no-contact forms can be circumvented. if you want to use an attorney, have them write a scare letter to PP threatening action if they persist, unless they provide verified evidence you didn't deliver.

They were social media services, Buyer done a chargeback after receiving Youtube views :(

Do they have your personally identifiable info, like the social security number for USA accounts? (whatever the UK equivalent is) Even if they pursue collections, it's not very likely that this amount will go against your credit report. Have you blocked the bank account you had on paypal from making the electronic debit of the amounts in dispute?

In that case, I wouldn't worry. Send some correspondence with tracking... and forget about it.

I'm not worrying that much because i can just hang up this property when i want as well as my mobile and disappear to my first address :D

Just don't want the hassle of replying back then they file legal disputes against me..
