Is it possible?

I've used the account with Shopify and I've accumulated a nice number of orders, no returns or refunds, or appeals, and I don't even have to wait 21 days for the money to be available to me.

But for some reason I cannot hook the account with my new WooCommerce site. I've tried to use the two most popular "PayPal Express Checkout for WooCommerce" apps from the store, but it tells me that I do need a business account after all.

So, all in all, is it possible for me to link the a PayPal Premier account as a Payment Gateway with WooCommerce, if yes - how?

Thanks in advance!

Why don't you just upgrade to business, which takes less than a couple minutes and yeah, you are running a business..

I assume he probably is in my situation, upgrading paypal premier to business which is not where the business is located/registered.

You don't need to have a registered business if you select business as an individual.

What is the actual procedure? I remember when I started shopify business last year and stopped due to business paypal requirement. Forgot exactly what paypal asked me to provide but I was unable to. Now I'm planning to start a dropshipping business using woocommerce (as you've advised in another thread) by registering an LLC in the US. But I'm sure that I'll have to struggle with payment issue, either with paypal or stripe.

Yeah, I didn't know that to be honest - I just presumed they'd want a bunch of documents, half of them being quite annoying to be produced. I've had quite the journey when I was lifting the last limits of my Premier account some time ago, but it turns out the Business account is like 10x times easier to verify, so thanks a bunch!

You're welcome.

I didn't know either or they changed something but last year I had to give a VAT and this year I found out about registering as an individual and no problems at all.

Wtf, thanks a lot. i just upgraded, they didn't ask for any paper, it's crazy.

Great to know that! Did they not even require a business name and address in the same country you applied it from?

They made me fill a business name that will appear on checkout and the address remained the same as my home address.

Any registered business or just a random business name (without actual incorporation)?

Just a random business name mate, they don't ask for any other information, so you basically don't need to have a proper business registered in your country. ( i'm from eastern europe )

Thanks a ton for your advice. I'll try this out.

You are basically making a DBA account( Doing Business As), where it's all on your own name and you can fiddle with the brand handle in the invoices your potential customers are going to get in their bank statements, so it's mostly for brand recognition purposes rather than accounting ones.
