    Hi there,

Paypal permanently limited my account. I don't know exactly why they did that, as they don't give you the reason, but I suspect it's an item I was selling on eBay that was deemed in violation of some copyright.

Is there anything I can do now to restore my account? Is it worth giving them a call and trying to sort things out? In the email I received, it said this decision could not be appealed...

    well, were you?

If you were suspended due to fraud or VERO violation, I suspect that it will be a waste of time trying to reinstate the account.

Do not forget there is light at the end of the tunnel by simply making more stealth accounts.

Yes I was. It was just a scarf selling at 9.99
Nothing really worth banning a Paypal account that is 8 years old with hundreds of transactions....
    Paypal just didn't warn me...
And yet, this is what I suspect, I'm not even sure that's the reason

No way you can redeem your real account now. Make a new account the proper way and be more careful next time. Just because you were limited doesnt mean you will never use pp again.

You can get back to selling by creating stealth accounts. Also, make sure that you don't link a new paypal to your old ebay, as it will get suspended again.

you were at mistake and you did the stupid thing with risking your account with selling fakes and not them, they don't warn you, you agreed to their TOS when making the account and using their services, it sucks, but it's really your fault

your only option now is to start everything from scratch with a stealth account mentioned already by many above and forget about this one

PayPal sucks. Make a new one.
I have 2 accounts. One Real and One Canadian Verified. I use the canadian one then transfer the money to my real one because you don't need any verification and paypal doesn't limit you as much with a canadian account

If it is permanently banned, then you won't be able to recover it by re-appealing. If you have any funds on the account, don't worry about that since PayPal will give you the permission to withdraw the balance after 180 days.

I've had my run with paypal in the past.

Just create a new account under another name or business entity.

This would be your safest option imo.

You have to wait until the hold period is over. Your account will stay limited but after that period you can withdraw your money. I think its 6 months or 9 months, i forget.

Permanently limited here as well... With $6500 in the account.

Its saying funds will be available to withdraw after 180 days..

Did anyone get their money back after being permanently limited?

paypal is so corrupt only way to move on is by making more stealth accounts and then the ones that get banned withdraw from once the 180 days has passed.
