Paypal or Authorize.net. Anyone experience conversion rate difference in sales?

I recently switched to using my own merchant. I have authorize.net with using the 1shoppingcart.com service as my shoppingcart for my product. I have noticed that since I switched, the conversion rate has changed dramatically. From a 3-4% conversion rate down to a 1-2%.

Has anyone else experienced the same difference when switching payment gateways?

authorize.net are pain to deal with, especially if your customers are international. For example i never was able to pay with any of my credit cards at a site using authorize.net

Better look at 2co or other biller...

I mean you have to look at it like this. The pros and cons, u will have less fraud with authorize.net then paypal but u will also have less sales with authorize.net then paypal I have both but I rather deal with less sales then more fraud.
