So last night I made 4 sales - one on my one website, two on my other website, and one from a personal client.

So 3 of those payments would go to my hosting (hostgator) email and then be forwarded to my Gmail, and one of those payments was sent to my Gmail, so the Payment Received notification should have arrived there.

    But, no emails arrived...

I was lucky my personal client contacted me with instructions about the job, so I checked Paypal to see if he actually paid me (because I got no email about the payment), only to find more payments that I didn't receive notifications about.

At first I thought it may be my hosting emails problem, but even the client that paid me on my Gmail, the notification never arrived.

I googled about it, and it seems to have been a common problem with Paypal for years now. Many people have reported the same problem over time.

Did anyone else experience such a problem in the past 24 hours? Any advice on what I should do? Should I contact Paypal about it or just give it some more time?

p.s this is a major issue for me, as I can't be checking Paypal all the time to see if I received a payment.

    Thanks

Common issue. Sometimes the emails are just delayed, sometimes they don't come at all. I'm not sure, if anything can be done though other than asking PayPal, what's up and even then they might not be able to help.

If you have a smart device, you can try the PayPal app, where you can set push notifications or i think SMS too.

Nothing to worry about this issue mate. I have faced this issue many times. Even lest week, I have received the notification mail after eight days of payment. I have contacted their customer support team, but no use. Nowadays I am just checking it directly on PayPal. I am not waiting for the email notifications.

May be some changes going on server that's why its not working. It happens with me last year for 2-3 days.
Call customer care or drop a email to them then it will work surely.

    Thanks for the advice yall.

This has happened to me before. A payment here or there. But never like this. We're talking 4 payments over a period of about 12 hours. None arrived in the email. It's usually one payment here and there that this happens for.

Oh well, I'll keep Paypal open and check from time to time, and hopefully it gets resolved (as if I didn't have enough tabs/browsers opened already, ugh).

Will inform if it doesn't get resolved and I end up contacting Paypal... I'll come back and inform what they told me.

It might probably be blocked given it's 4 payments in 12 hours. I assume that's not normal?

I have different services on different sites and most of them are under 1 business name/account so there are days where I get like 10+ orders in 24 hours, I get all the emails but usually they are delayed. When they do come, they are usually under 1 email only in gmail but lots of layers to that email, kind of like a long conversation.

Under the company email address, however, it shows up instantly.

Yes, but that can't be a permanent solution though, because if there's no activity for a while (i think 15 mins?), PayPal will log you out automatically, so you need to log back in every time, which would make me go nuts for sure. :)

For different purposes i use a browser extension called Distill Web Monitor, which is capable of monitoring a whole website or just part of a website for changes. You could set it to monitor your balance, it can send email alert, SMS, push notification, desktop notification or audio notification, if a change is detected. If you set the checking intervals below 15 mins, that might prevent PayPal to log you out, so it might be a solution. Maybe not, i'm using it on a site, which doesn't log me out, so i'm not sure, if it will work with PayPal or no, worth a try.

Or if you go with the separate tab route, you can use ReloadEvery to refresh the PayPal tab automatically in given intervals, so PayPal won't log you out.

Well, it's pretty normal. I've had more intense times (5 sales in 5 minutes) before and all emails arrived almost instantly.

Oh yeah for sure it's not a permanent solution.

    My "action plan" is:

    1) Give it 24-48 hours to see if it gets resolved
    2) If not, contact Paypal and waste my time
    3) Find a workaround/solution

    I'm betting on 1 working out :D

Bro, you and I've been conversing here for a long time on and off. You know a lot of shit and I totally appreciate all your help through the times.

Today I am so happy, multiple orgasms happy. I just want to share my happiness :)

I started online in 2013. About 4 years ago exactly. Check my net profit:

    2013 - $1300
    2014 - $3600
    2015 - $4400
    2016 - $8500
2017 - I earned $2100 in January and $2100 in February, and in March already made like $200 bucks with about $300 more dollars of sales arranged

OH MY GOD! THIS IS... THIS IS... I JUST WANT TO START JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND SCREAMING!!! :D

Just to update. The emails have arrived (or rather, are arriving).

I didn't calculate exactly because it's irrelevant, but they seem to be arriving a set amount of hours after the payments have been submitted.

So all 4 payments I had have arrived. In the meantime I made 2 more sales. Those email didn't arrive (I've been checking Paypal from time to time to see if I received any payments/orders).

So the email are arriving, but with a delay. If it continues I'll contact Paypal about it, because I can't be starting client orders 8 and 10 hours after they submit them (I'm in a type of business where speed is of the essence).

    Thanks

Okay, it seems to be fixed now. Received a payment a few hours ago, and the email arrived instantly.

So note to self and others - if you run into such a problem, give it 24-48 hours before spending/wasting time on contacting Paypal or looking for a workaround solution.

    Thank you
