    Update on Personal Payment Service

    Dear xxxx yyyyy,

As PayPal focuses on our business strategy of enabling secure and convenient commercial transactions in Malaysia, we regret to inform you that the Personal Payments service will no longer be available in Malaysia from 4 June 2013. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

PayPal?s mission is to connect merchants of all sizes to millions of consumers around the world, creating more economic opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities. As such, we would like to assure you that you will still be able to use PayPal for commercial activities. For example, you can still shop and pay with any local or overseas PayPal merchant and receive payments for the sale of goods and services from any local or overseas buyer with a PayPal account.

In light of this recent change to our services in Malaysia, we have created a webpage to address concerns and questions you may have at:
http://www.paypal.com.my/personal-payments-faq. You can also contact our customer support team by logging into your PayPal account and clicking on ?contact us? at the bottom of the page.

The success of PayPal depends on the success of the community. We thank you for your ongoing support in enabling more secure commerce anytime, anywhere and any way.

    Best Regards,

    The PayPal Team

Most of Asians in India/Srilanka use Malaysian paypal accounts, because there are very few countries in Asia, which having access to full featured paypal accounts. Like Malaysia, Singapore, etc.

People having paypal accounts in Countries like Srilanka,India Cant receive money to their paypal accounts, we can only link our credit cards and SPEND. we are limited. So we use Malaysia.

So what are the solutions for the problem we are going to face after 4th June? Can you please suggest an alternative way to use paypal please?

    thanks for your time

Buy VPN and open another account in a safe country. But I guess these limitations are not to harsh and you can still use your current account since business and premier accounts were not affected

Well why don't you send Paypal an email to request them to change your country to Singapore... Of course don't forget to narrate a small fake story in the email as the reason!

You really think VPN could solve all the problem? You need bank with your name and a whole lot other details if the account got limited.
