Not sure if this is the right section to post. But I am more than certain this is the right forum to do so.
I am asking for some help on this if possible.

    Here is my situation:
I have a paypal account with bogus info & it got limited with around 8k in it. I had a buyer open a dispute against me & that is what caused it to get limited.

I had requested the money as a service. The buyer did cancel the dispute so now the money is just stuck in my bogus account. I was going to transfer it to a real PP account & now I cant.

Paypal is asking for proof of:
    id
    ssn
invoice (don't need it anymore I think, since the dispute has been canceled by buyer)
bank account statement (had a bogus etrade bank that is not even working anymore)
credit card statement (has a vcc attached)
    proof of address
    confirm location
    ssn
business info (it's not even a business account)
Tracking info (Doesn't even show a case anymore since the dispute was canceled)

What can I possibly do? I mean...I can wait 180 days if so. I really don't mind. But can I add another bank account after the wait time of 180 days is up? Any way to get the money out while limited? (I can not refund anyone as I don't personally know them) As well can the buyer re-open a dispute he/she closed already? Or can they just chargeback through thier credit card company and still have the money chargedback from my paypal if so even though they closed the dispute on paypal?

Any help/advise would be appreciated. Thank You

I've had my account limited with more in it. Not too much you can do. I waited the 6 months. People don't realize how bad PayPal is, until they get limited.

Thanks for your quick reply. But will I be able to add another "real" bank account to it when the time is up? As well can the payment dispute be re-opened again? or chargedback through the cc company since they closed the case on paypal?

Yes, they can reopen a dispute or just dispute the charges with the cc company. It's hard to game Paypal once they're on to you unless you're up for forging documents...

Hello, Sorry to hear about your PayPal headaches.
    First this belongs here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f69-ebay/

Second, A solution to your problem might be to find someone who is good at photoshop to help you
submit documentation. If not then wait the 180 days and withdraw.

    Good Luck

But payap tos says once you close a dispute they will not re-open it. As well before you close a dispute it ask you like 3 or 4 times if you are sure the problem has been solved. So i don't understand how they can re-open it. And if they where to chargeback the CC how could paypal allow the money to be re-taken back?

Wouldn't everyone just chargeback when ever they felt like it?

Thank You redclover. If a Mod can move the thread that would be great, not sure on how I can do it.

Also I can have the docs done, that wouldn't be a problem but they are asking for SSN so it's basically worthless doing so.

This has happened to me before and what I PERSONALLY did was, I sent an invoice from another paypal requesting a payment for that ammount and even when you're limited sometimes paypal lets you pay an invoice. Good luck, this is a horrible situation.

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried to call the Paypal support team? Hope they will give you the best solution.

I'm sure you can easily find some real SSNs online...people are stupid, they even post their credit card numbers on twitter these days.

Nowadays, whenever someone gets their PayPal account limited, all of sudden they have $5k+ in it.

We're on the same boat. Mine was limited on July12th. I have nothing much to do, but to wait for the 180th day. From then, I don't know what to do..can I send the money to another paypal account? Or Do I have to withdraw it and transfer it to a bank account? Paypal limits accounts with no concrete reason...mine was limited after upgrading into business account. They even asked me to send in some documents that took me weeks to accomplish. Once I submitted the scanned copy, next thing I know, paypal limited it. I have been using that account for so long, and just when I decided to upgrade it, they limited it!

Not as easy as that. Same name & birthdate is to be more accurate.

I understand your concern but please don't hijack my thread. This is no where near the same situation as you. None the less, best of luck for you.

Paypal doesn't verify info anywhere near to the extent that you think they do. If you are able to submit decent photoshopped documents you will also be ok submitting a fake SSN, so long as it checks out as in the vaild SSN ranges per state. If you don't know what that means just Google it and you will see SSN range charts by state.

Several years ago I was selling a knockoff product on eBay and I had an account limited, and Paypal asked me for a bunch of personal info, as well as info on where I was getting the product wholesaled from. I called several times and most of the people I talked to were not helpful, but I eventually had one employee say "I shouldn't say this, but if you just submit anything for your wholesaler's info they probably won't verify it, they never do". So I found a wholesaler online and submitted them as the info, as well as shopped documents and fake info. A week later my limitations were removed.

Just be careful and be smart on the info you submit, and you have a fighting chance.

That is some great info. But what if they buyer decides to chargeback through the cc company now? After all they closed the dispute on paypal.

    What will happen?
