Paypal have owed me money for 18 months

18 months ago I made a decent amount of money from a client. Before I allowed the client to pay me I called PayPal to ensure that my account was fully verified. They said it was....

As soon as I received the money they blocked my account and are still holding my funds.

Can anyone here unlock the block that prevents me from withdrawing my money ? It’s been over 18 months and I’m really over it. I’ve called them over 100 times and they still haven’t released the funds.

If you think you can help me get the money then I’ll be really grateful.

Any advice would be appreciated.

PayPal are scammers I use stripe now they are lovely.

That's really odd. I've only seen 180 day holds. Have you gotten any emails from them?

Their system sends me automated messages as if nothing has happened and I was informed of a 180 day hold but it’s been 3 times as long as that now. I wonder if there’s anything I can do. I contacted the ombudsman and they are trying to resolve it but that doesn’t appear to be working either I don’t think they can do anything. Surely it’s illegal for them to keep my money for that long ?

That's odd. I got an email after 180 days about my finds being "available now" or something to that affect. What can you see when you login to your account and try to withdraw?

PayPal really is the worst of the worst.

You should be able to withdrawl by now, if you want dm me i can see if i can do anything

When I try and withdraw it says they need more information from me but I feel like it’s just a ploy to try and keep my money. They’ve paid me before. They’re scammers

Sue them. Make a group of 1000 people and sue them separately. When they will get 1000 law suits, they will come down to earth and stop dictating the terms. Right now, they are behaving like a King.

Man, if its lots of money, then sue those motherFu**kers. Paypal has grown to be a legal spammy company and thinks no one can do anything to them. But, if lots of people start filling a lawsuit to them, then they have to change their spammy rules as too many lawsuit is never good for any companies, even those giant ones.

Their new T&C allows them to do whatever they want.

I think all it would take is a strongly worded letter from a legal professional and they will realise they messed up.

Good idea. I wonder, how many people will stand their ground in front of a judge?

IF we take this more serious, yeah, would be possible but people will never stand their ground in front of a real "threat" calling it so.

That's nowadays' generation, my friends.

Suck and take it from PayPal as none of us will ever do something. (I personally use Stripe) LOL


As for an advice: Move the hell out from them! Yeah, probably less orders but hell more security.

I have never heard of something like this happening. It is really strange I think you need to contact them and dedicate time to releasing your funds because they are the only ones who can help you do that

Seriously close the account. Use stripe they always answer the phone or call you back immediately if there is any issue. I have emailed them at least 50 times and I have had nothing but automated responses....

I have called them about 100 times in the past 3 months.... I don’t know what to do next. PayPal uk have no staff at the moment on the phones. It says they have limited staff. Well no ones answering at all

If there is anyone on here that wants to sue them as part of a petition or something then please let me know.
