Paypal gives me 72h to show proof of postage

    A f***ing Ebay customer claims he has not received an item worth 500 Euros. And has opened a claim with paypal.
    I know 99% sure he has received item because he signed for it at the address of delivery.
    Also, before receiving the item he was already accusing me by ebay email of non delivery and being bad seller. He was already very aggressive with reason at all ! As soon as the day item has been signed and delivered, customer stopped harassing me. Therefore I supposed item has been received.
    But 1 month later he received item, he started the Paypal claim. I am really furious !!!

    I provided to Paypal, Proof of delivery with signature few weeks ago. Then I had no news from paypal. But just today they told me they need proof of postage uner 72H otherwise they will close the case and refund customer!

    Item was sent from UK with parcelforce. Now we are weekend so I already lost 48h and then we are cristmas and all the holidays. I will never have this proof of postage in time and under 72h

    What would be your advise to me BHaters ? Should I fake proof ? Any ideas ?

    You didn't keep your proof of postage? For future warning, I'd advise keeping the receipts. I had a couple customers like that before. I can't really give any advice, as I always used confirmation of delivery. You weren't given any numbers like that on the item mailed?

    There are lots of people out there that do things like that. When I was in e-commerce, it was just about 1% that would try and make life hell to get free stuff. You need to safeguard yourself because saying it wasn't delivered is the number one excuse.

    You don't have any receipts? Conformation emails? Tracking numbers? Or you had a tracking number but lost it? Perhaps your browser kept it in auto-complete on the website you got conformation on?

    This is all outsourced. Buy from china supplier, send to my forwarder company in china. Then the forwarder company sends to Parcelforce UK and parcelforce delivers to my EU customers.
    I never had a problem this way !
    I know UK warehouse has Proof od postage however today we are saturday tomorow sunday then I will ask them on monday but they will not answer immediately.... 72h alredy gone !!
    I am really thinking to fake it now ! Any advise or idea ?

    Why fake it, surely there must be away to contact the paypal support, explain the holiday situation to them and ensure them you are getting the proof?

    I read a lot regarding paypal being not very ready to listen sellers. I do not know util which point they will be simpathetic with me and wait for my forwarder to deliver POP. Even myself I dont know forewarding company time of response for this kind of proof!
    Anyway maybe you are right and shoul call them on monday!
    I will make decision and post the outcome

    Good call, it is always better to be upfront and take the honest approach. Why try and fake something that could only get you into trouble and backfire on you anyway. Best of luck in your venture and perhaps request that the outsource company now send you copies of all conformations!

    Just appeal the case after you get proof of postage. You will be better off calling Paypal than submitting their forms online.

    jox51, the problem is that I will not get POP before 72h due to Weekend and due to christmas. So I have to call paypal before i get POP...
    The only solution I think is qsking paypal to allow more than 72 h due holidays and weekend !

    Call them. You have better chances getting it resolved that way. Alotta times, their solutions online are automated, not made by actual humans. If u call them, u may get farther in resolving ur case.

    why dont you ask your shipper for tracking #? thats all proof of postage/delivery is. Future ref... keep all receipts and use signature NOT delivery confirmation for packages.

    OK case solved ! Paypal didnt refund the money to buyer.... and gave back to me!

    I called Paypal this morning and explained the situation. They were really very comprehensive and gived to me 6 days extended time to provide proof of postage. On the same time my forwarder company sent me a kind of certificate of postage ! 5 minutes after posting this certificate of postage with print screens of my shipping system to paypal, paypal sent an email telling me that case was resolved in my favour!

    I recognise that fake documents Idea was really a bad idea.:toilet13:
    Morality : ALWAYS provide to paypal case both: Proof of postage and proof of delivery at same time so you speed up proces !
