    Hey guys

I am gonna give up on fucking paypal. I am getting frustrated how badly it sucks. People buy an ebook and then do unauthorized transaction, paypal does nothing and just refunds them. This is really driving me crazy.

People get the product and then exploit paypal.

I am moving to money bookers so FUCK you paypal..

If you guys are using paypal say bye to it..

OP: For some reason, your statement just struck me as funny. I have seen many of the same type of e-mails from many people here. I just had a image pop in my head of gaypal going out of business because one guy stopped using them. Sorry but I thought it was funny.

Anyway, I do agree with you. They are scammers. I wish there was an alternative to them, but there isn't one even close. For some reason, the average person believes they are a great company and generally won't even consider any other payment processor or method.

In my view, you are going to lose many more sales because you don't offer them as an option. Most people immediately assume the product or the seller is a scam/scammer.

Like justthinking said, there is no way around using PayPal for most sales. However, you stand a lot less chance of getting scammed if you can provide a tracking number as 'proof' of delivery. Cheapest way to do this is USPS priority mail using their web interface to print labels. They will also provide free envelopes delivered to your door, so you can stick a CD ROM inside. For a couple of bucks and a few minutes of your time you can protect yourself against this scam.

Well. I think its time that we BH'ers start an alternative to gaypal. I think a lot of people here would know or even if necessary may brainstorm an idea about an alternative to gaypal.

    My 2 cents

Ok i'm throwing 2 cents in here.

I have been selling random crap through PayPal for 2 years... I have never had a single problem with PayPal. I've had someone randomly send me $5 and try to open a dispute but he got nowhere.. if your account is verified and you're not doing phony shit on it I don't see what people are having such problems with.

The only time I've ever had a problem was when I got my debit from them and it wouldn't work.

Don't know if this works as aint tried it yet....

    unauthorized claim
    email them
email them again if no response for 24 hours
Then in the dispute mark it as 'intangible goods' and then write "I sell intangible items that are not covered under paypal's buyer protection policy'

Heard that somewhere else but haven't had chance to try it yet :) so let me know.

OR make a dispute telling that you have provided the intangible goods and the buyer is trying to scam you. Normally paypal will be on your side because intangible goods have no tracking information (tell that even if paypal asks you for transaction info) and they can't refund in such cases.

It's the whole 90days scare where the customer has 90 days to dispute a claim that really gets you in a whole.. Especially, with ebook contents you really are caught in the dark.

There really is no better solution at the moment.

just dont sell to black hatters, not that black hatters are bad, but too many think fraud and black hat are the same.

If you sell to this niche, figure out what to do to make it not worthwhile to do it, or sell for a price that makes up for the fraud.

Going on from this its a good idea to have a webinar or forum or something that is only accessible by purchasers who stay on and don't refund. Or make the product last over the 90 days :)

paypal screws everyone up and many said that paypal will be going out of business soon. In the end, paypal has been standing strong for so many years already despite the lawsuits..

What planet are you guys from? No other solution?

Google itself has offered a solution for a couple of years now . They are actually a competitor of paypal now. So much so that paypal is making sure that companies that except both only accept paypal.

Yes google is puttting the FEAR OF GOD in paypal. Here in about 2 more years google will be the solution for all of your payment needs.

    Google it guys

    Google checkout.

Quit being such a patsy ohh I would rather take it up the butt from paypal then use another service. Well I am here to tell you that kinda attitude WILL keep paypal in business. So if you have not already switch over to google checkout today.

Sometimes I wander . I mean really wander if you guys ever stop and think about solutions to problems or just moan and cry about the problem .

I apologize if it sounds like I am being a hardarse but I am . I really want to see PP go under and I want you guys to use your head a little bit more to think up solutions for yourself. There is always a solution. Come on guys the best brains in the IM world are right HERE . Now act like it. I have faith in every one of you.
BTW if you become a checkout merchant here is a benefit.

Overview: How does AdWords help me earn free transaction processing?

If you're an AdWords advertiser, you can earn free transaction processing through Google Checkout.

    How it works
For every $1 you spend on AdWords each month, you can process $10 in sales the following month through Google Checkout for free. For example, if your AdWords spend in August is $300, you can process up to $3000 in sales for free through Google Checkout in September.

This unique Google Checkout benefit means that every dollar you spend toward promoting your business through AdWords also helps directly reduce your processing costs.

Please note that Android Market transactions are not eligible for free transaction processing.

    Get started
To earn free transaction processing through Google Checkout, sign up for Google Checkout and complete one of the Google Checkout integration options. You can link an AdWords account to Google Checkout during the signup process, then link additional AdWords accounts as needed after you've signed up for Google Checkout.

If you sign up for Google Checkout and AdWords at the same time, you'll start earning free transaction processing the following month.

Please note that the free transaction processing you accrue through your AdWords account can only be applied towards the business that is advertised on AdWords. The linked AdWords and Checkout accounts must be used for the same business purposes.
