Paypal disputes are a nightmare, why not handle them through your bank instead?

I've heard tons of horror stories of users not getting a refund through paypal disputes due to some of the services you can purchase online that may be seen as "intangible." However, its always struck me as odd that the same users did not go through their bank or credit card handler instead.

It'd be better if people would just stop using paypal.

Quite a few do, and they are complete assholes. I have just been through one as a seller. My instructions are plain and simple, you have a problem come chat to me and I will sort it out. Nope, straight to CC company which means I got stung for the money he paid (and he still owed me half) and the CC charge.

I think the asshole is on this forum but can't be sure just yet.

Until something simple comes out we are stuck with it, which is a shame! Nochex is good in the UK but its UK only.

Yeah, use your bank instead to get your money back. Like a client of mine did AFTER I did everything they wanted. Not saying that any of you would do such a thing, but be careful who you do business with.

That's terrible. I would hate to be on the selling end of it all, which is why I specifically require a contract for any work I do. They break the contract, you nail them with a big law suit :)
