I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but

When I was 17 I made a PayPal account with my old home address on it and real name and a fake credit card.
Somehow the account got -73 dollars in debt and I keep getting emailed and mailed saying they will send it to debt collectors and all this bullsh**t.

I was wondering how in the f**k can they prove it was me and that I own the PayPal account without a social security number or bank account or credit card on file?

Has anyone's credit ever been affected from a PayPal issue?

Oh, when I took the money out of the account, I had PayPal send me a check to my home address and I cashed it at a bank.(I WASNT 18 years old at the time and did not put my real date of birth on the paypal account)

I mean, this type of system they are using don't seem professional.
What if I want to put everyone in my neighborhood in debt collection agency by making a paypal account with their real names and addresses and getting the accounts negative? Will they be sent to debt collectors as well? This process doesn't make sense.

They can send to collections, but since you were under 18 and couldn't enter any contracts and the amount in questions is low, I don't think they will actually pursue you. But then again they are a huge company and if they were to sue you or send you to collections there is nothing you can do unless you want to spend a ton on a legal defense that you will inevitably lose.

Paypal won't do a thing trust me. They will just ignore your $-73. They will just keep on spamming you emails and that's it. Don't expect any debt collector for that $73, cause it's not worth their time.

Well they do have your "old home address" and "your real name" so I would imagine they could put 2 + 2 together.

How about - you owe the money, so pay it! You haven't really even made an excuse for not paying - you're just talking about how to avoid them... just pay the damn money.

I assure you - you WILL pay it somehow. Better to pay it now, with money.

No they will not do that. That's only 73$. My account was Negative 600+$ dollars when someone charged back their payment on my paypal, and scammed me. I never paid it and opened a new one.
