I have an old PayPal account that I have been using as long as I can remember. I haven't been sending / receiving much money on the account all the years I have been using it, until now. I just hit the 2500? limit and therefore my account got locked and I had to verify myself (by sending a photo of my ID and a phone bill), which I did.

A couple days after I sent them my ID and phone bill, I got an email from PayPal saying that they denied my application because I was underage. At this point I was starting to get pissed because I am clearly not underage. I am 22 year sold. So I mailed them back and told them that I am 22 years old and I don't want them to send me any stupid bot answer.

They replied to me by telling me that my account has been PERMANENTLY LIMITED because I was underage when I created the PayPal account which was probabky over 5 years ago!

What the fuck do I do? I use PayPal to pay for shit all the time. I truly hate the mother fuckers with their insane legal robbery fees and exchange rates that they apply to every damn transaction. I can't do shit about it since PayPal is in many cases the only available payment method...

You're pretty much screwed - PayPal is known for limiting accounts and killing dreams.

Some will say "you should've just used fake info" or "you should've waited till you were of legal age".

All I can say is try and purchase a new account (that isn't limited) from somebody else.

Why are PayPal such fucking assholes? I haven't gotten a single bad "review" on my PayPal account during all the years I have been using it. And now they do this to me. Fucking piece of shits. I literally give them over $100 per month just in fees.

PP is notorious for chasing away good business... just set up another one using different info or buy one from one of the sellers here in the marketplace.

No sense allowing their errors in judgement due to hard line rules affecting you negatively as there are options.

BassTrackerBoats is right, Make yourself a new account but use a different first name, different IP/Computer/VPS, and dont worry about PayPal. They are an online bank and have to make rash decisions all the time.
Make a new one :)

If this is the only way to go then I guess I have no other choice than to do what suggest. This means I have to dedicate a private IP and a specific Firefox profile for the new PayPal account I buy or create? And every time I want to make a payment or access my PayPal account I have to make sure I don't do it from my normal IP / browser, sigh...

I guess it doesn't hurt to send PayPal a crying letter where I beg them to unban me. But that is most likely just going to be a waste of time.

Well, for starters, you did break their terms/conditions by creating an account "underage". Even still, I hate Paypal. Like the others have said, just create a stealth account and don't use any information which they can link back to your banned account.

It was so many years ago since I registered my PayPal account, but I am pretty sure that I did enter my real date of birth during the registration. Actually they might not even have asked for my date of birth when I registered the account. I honestly thought you were allowed to use PayPal when you were under 18, especially when they didn't ask for my DOB (or that they allowed me to register with year 1993).

Does anyone have experience with getting lifted bans for such ridiculous reasons as this? Maybe they are nicer over the phone?

I've generally had a lot more luck resolving issues with PayPal over the phone than email. Not sure why, maybe because it's more personal. However, an issue with that magnitude, not sure whether it would make a difference. Anyway it wouldn't hurt to try, just make sure you don't put too much effort into this. Get back to making money and setup another account like all the others have suggested.

Paypal has limited so many account that I used that I am not surprised that they permanently banned you because you where underage when you registered your account. If only we had more alternatives to Paypal...

Aren't you allowed to open new PayPal account since your old account is banned due to "underage".

Now you are of legal age to open new PayPal account... Just a thought!

I'm pretty sure they would not allow that, but whatever, it's not like I have anything to lose when it comes to PayPal. I have another question though, how do I transfer money from Payoneer to my bank account without losing too much money due to fees? Payoneer does not support withdrawal directly to my bank account. I'm thinking about buying BTC with the Payoneer credit card, then exchanging those to my own currency and from there withdraw it to my bank account?

This happened to me also. I just created a new one and the problems are solved.

You registered a new account with the same IP and using the same ID for verification? Did you do the 2500€ limit verification?

If you don't mind me asking - what kind of permanent limit? You can only ever have max 2500 in your account at one time?
