You need to make an account with PP that looks like
    you have a legit biz..
Set up a site and add the PP buy now button ,
have your clients make purchases through your website.
Then , you will always get paid..

You're not screwed just yet. Do you have a relationship with the guy that purchased the goods. Did he complain? Did he file a not authorized charge? If he didn't do any of those then PP is just being cautious and will release your funds in a couple days. They probably sent the buyer an email verifying the payment and as long as he says it's good then they'll forward the money. If you have a conflict with the buyer or he's a scammer then the money is gone. The Internet makes the world much smaller, get the word out if you got scammed so others know not to do business with the guy. If he's a stand up guy then you'll get paid. Contact him to make sure all is ok.

    Happened with me also.

The money was refunded to the buyer and i had to ask him to send me the money again.

That is all you can do.

i was in a similar situation not too long ago, selling intangible products aka services and paypal made the decision to my favour, i still don't know why :)
they wanted the shipping info and such usual crap, i wrote them i haven't got any shipping info because i sent "the product" via mail (the funny thing that i didn't attach anything to prove that) and shortly after that i got my money back :10:, i guess i was just lucky
but probably sometimes an honest reply helps more than if you try to fake the shipping info or something like that

I completely second that. Always, have a full view of what is actually happening and just reply with a most "suitable" answer that is also honest and you will be fine.

Been in a situation like that and got my payment. But I actually sent in the proof. I have always maintained that, in any financial transaction one must always be careful and try to keep any proof of it that is possible. I had done that and so I saved my skin.

Although, it was not complete proof, I only sent what they asked for and I won the dispute/case.

I just did the same and I know the results will be in my favor.. few days ago someone fired a case against me and I just called paypal and told them that I m selling intangible products and they did it and refunded my money back.
