So if I have a stealth account that might reach the $20,000 mark in sales, is ebay gonna send me tax forms? They will go to the address on my stealth account (not my address) Is this a problem? What will happen? Also do you HAVE to fill out these tax forms I hear paypal just has to send you it and its up to you to do it or not. Should I stop selling right before I reach $20,000, I will still have about 50 transactions left or so, I'm pretty positive its both criteria must be met. Help!

With those revenue figures ... why not just avoid the issue altogether, and set up some more stealth accounts ... and get done with that one?

Why don't you just sell your stealth account and create a new one, you can make some extra cash from the account instead of just letting the account stay unused, Pm me and we can talk or add me on skype: S3xy_nikki I can give you more details

They might or might not send you the tax forms, the important thing is that they will ask you to give them a valid tax ID and ban your paypal if you can't provide one.

They have to collect this info and hand it over to IRS by LAW. This isn't an optional thing. You can refuse to provide tax ID but they will close your paypal if you don't.

You can, but then you'd have to start more stealth accounts. Also, it's 200 transaction OR $20,000, whatever comes first. Also they will sometimes ask for tax ID before 200 transactions if you're on pace to go over 200 in a year, which sounds like it applies to you right now.

What happens once they ask for tax id? How low should transaction be kept to avoid this?

Wait till the next fiscal year and the 20k resets. DO NOT SELL ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL THAT HAPPENS... or eBay will request a SOC which stealth accounts can't provide :)

You won't be sent any forms unless you have 20k AND 200 transactions. If you have 19,999 in sales with 600 transactions, you won't be sent any forms. You have to meet both criteria. HOWEVER, Paypal can and WILL ask for SSN information before you hit those numbers.
