Payment per month or 1 time for affiliation

Hello, I would like to open my own saas with an affiliate system.

my saas will allow my users to pay a monthly subscription.

My question for people who do affiliation is if it was better for you to receive a large payment (imagine 60%) for the first month of subscription or to be paid 20% of the subscription price every month?

I used to do 50% of profits every month, no I just give them flat 100% of profit 1st month. so no loss no profit but 1 customer gained who is definitely gonna renew

If depends. But personally, I would go for large payout so 60% would be viable for me.
