    Will buying extra years on my domain name increase its seo'ness?

    Its been mentioned it a few times on here but not sure if it does any good.

    there is a google patent saying that it gives positive signal. But is this patent applicated ? don't know.

    It may give a very slight positive boost. Personally, I don't think it's worth the extra money.

    I personally do not think it helps. Your Karma is the quality that google(or the other kids) would judge, but then.. you never know ;-)

    IMO I don't think it matters, I rank sites still page#1 that are just bought for the year. You want to rank make sure you have great content, your on page is on point and a good diversity of BL's. Hit it with some social signals as well and you will be fine. If you have the money to do so, then do it though:).
