Paying for yahoo directory?n

    Ive been reading and came across some way to pay to be in the yahoo directory, what does this do?

    anyone have good expetrience with?

    Yeah, you pay to get listed into their directory.

    I'm not sure if they changed the rules or not but the last time I checked you had to pay for them to review your site before it could be listed into the directory. It's a non refundable fee so it's not always a guarantee to get included. And I think you have to pay each year.

    It's one of the few publicly endorsed directories by Google.

    You pay $300/yr for their review process. It's technically "free" but, the review is required. If your business has the money for it and your in it for the long term I would suggest doing it.

    Best of the web is also another known good directory.

    Not worth the money. I paid for it on one of my sites. Big waste of cash. Spend it on link packages or IM software.

    Very little impact on SERPS.

    Good to know. I was going to sign up awhile back until I found out how much they wanted to charge for the directory. Glad to know it wasn't worth the money.

    Yeh, also spent the money and not impressed with results...Not too much you can expect from a solitary backlink though regardless of the PR.

    For that $300 a year I would submit to a variety of directories rather than just one directory.
