Hello,

can I pause my shopify store before trial ends and restart in future whenever I want without being billed for the first month?

Thanks

When you start your trial without choosing a plan and adding payment method you are not able to make sales. Meaning your storefront will be closed to public and you will be able to use only admin panel for 14 days.

When 14 days expire you will not get charged if you haven't added the payment method. But you will not be able to access the admin panel either. This way you can say your store will be "paused". You will be able to get back to it in future, but to access admin panel and/or be able to start selling you will have to pay for the plan right away.

There is another option to "pause" your store but you'll have to pay $9/mo if I remember right. You'll be able to access your admin panel but the storefront will be closed to public.

Open a partnership account.
Design your store there with a new name or whatever just as your store in a trial offer.
Close the first and publish the new one.
Why? with a partnership account Shopify will start to charge you for fees after 50 sales.

I don't care if the shop is not visible, I just want to end my subscription with the chance to restart whenever I want.
What I can do?

Hey, after you get a partner account you'll have to pay for shopify monthly fees before you can publish your store and make sales right?

I heard shopify no longer offers first 50 sales for free.

Why dont you just get a unlimited Shopify account that does not attract monthly fees?

Not true....

Are you able to run an account without shopify charging you? I tried myself but I wasnt able to get it to work and ended up paying. A lot of comments in the other thread had the same issue as me.
