http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...614499-link-building-after-penguin-2-1-a.html Was browsing white hat section, realized this is probably a huge part of hummingbird. Everyone's so focused on 2.1 and it's clear that they're integrated, and not two separate things. So how is this dynamic playing out? Try to perceive this all through a programmer's eyes at google. They've been clearly working on this for quite a while. I think I read somewhere that this effects 90+% of all search results? THat's huge... So it makes sense that we need to shift our paradigm from the linear ways we perceive anchors. "BUY DOG FOOD" Instead, "What is the best place I can buy food for my dog online" If you know what hummingbird is, as described by cutts. It's a large dynamic that does't focus on exact match anymore, so we need to adjust as well. I was using these long tail and convoluted anchors to dilute my keyword base before as well, and it was clear to me that google was still determining that I was using certain keywords within these, and ranking for them. But now it's more essential than ever to use these. This isn't a solution for penalized sites, and I admit. I'm still penalized to a certain degree for my main keywords. But I've been getting traffic elsewhere. THere's been a few threads that pop up with 'success' screenshots with people's serpbook rankings. Clearly, there's a solution for all of this, so keep your head up and keep learning. At one point, none of us KNEW anything about SEO. We were all in the dark and it seemed like a big daunting task. Well, a lot of us achieved because we persevered. And then the UPDATES started rolling, back with panda to start. What, 2010? We sat back, watched, and learned. Overcame and millions flowed in. It's not the end. Just keep on keeping on. I've been reading a few threads on people having success with disavow as well. Not sure the extent that you need to disavow, but I think the keyword ratio sensitivity was WACKED up, since it's now looking for long tail alternatives, and clearly direct exact matches are a clear indication of manipulation. So, good luck people. Love to you all, and hopefully this update is amazingly lucrative for many of us. Watching my serpbook, it's clear the updates still dancing around, so everyone take this time to READ. LEARN. ABSORB. DISCOVER. Here's a useful tool for scrapebox to scrape large and diverse anchor lists. Code: a %kw%b %kw% c %kw% d %kw% e %kw% f %kw% g %kw% h %kw% i %kw% j %kw% k %kw% l %kw% m %kw% n %kw% o %kw% p %kw% q %kw% r %kw% s %kw% t %kw% u %kw% v %kw% w %kw% x %kw% y %kw% z %kw% %KW% a %KW% b %KW% c %KW% d %KW% e %KW% f %KW% g %KW% h %KW% i %KW% j %KW% k %KW% l %KW% m %KW% n %KW% o %KW% p %KW% q %KW% r %KW% s %KW% t %KW% u %KW% v %KW% w %KW% x %KW% y %KW% z %kw% * * %kw% * %kw% * 1 %kw% 2 %kw% 3 %kw% 4 %kw% 5 %kw% 6 %kw% 7 %kw% 8 %kw% 9 %kw% 0 %kw% %kw% 1 %kw% 2 %kw% 3 %kw% 4 %kw% 5 %kw% 6 %kw% 7 %kw% 8 %kw% 9 %kw% 0 I usually take these, then use a bot to SPIN them to ready made outputs not in spintax. That way I get all the synonyms for them as well. Cheers.
