You are making the rookie mistake of misunderstanding HOW companies make BIG money with ecommerce.
The first product on an ecom store is typically the hook product to get them in. You have done that and made a small profit. That's fantastic, but then you stopped. It is the back end where all the profit is made! Your leaving all the profit on the table!
You need to backend email market all the people who purchased your product. It costs you almost $0 in marketing costs and so is pure profit.
You have done the hard part, front end acquisition. But it is backend selling where all the profit is made, your not doing it and that is why your not making the profit you expected.

i didn't decide to shut down the store just yet. past few days i made a few hundred dollars in profit, about 13-15% profit margins. i was able to get into a decent flow like i was in when i scaled up to $100 per day. this morning wasn't as great though, i'm down money
i'm still trying with this. it's getting annoying not being able to make decent profit margins and even today i'm not making money, i'm losing money, so it's still inconsistent. i'll be trying with this store for now but i'm gonna start looking at making another store
i might try to sell this current store. but in the meantime, if i can't scale it up then i'm going to set it at $800 per day in adspend until it stops being profitable. at that point i'll try to sell it off for some money.
but yeah i'm soon going to start a new store. this one is just getting too frustrating. tired of not being able to scale up. i've been on this store for 3-4 months and i'm still not consistently making money with my facebook ads. it's taking too long. i need a new product
i probably shouldn't have done all this stuff like incorperate or get a sales tax permit. but it's too late now. for this next store i'm not going to do any of that. going to get the bare basics. shopify plan, theme, support system. no sales tax, no company. just pure profit. once i crack $10k per day then MAYBE i'll start doing all that other shit

after generating 5-10% profit margins the past few days i've decided to re haul my ad strategy. firstly, i stopped snapchat ads completely. i'm done working with them. i've spent about 1500 dollars or something and generated shit return, no where near break even, probably 0.50 ROAS. so yeah i'm done with them
i stopped all my facebook ads. i'm planning to run 2 campaigns tomorrow. one of them is going to be at $3k a day budget. i'm going hard as fuck on this now, i want that fuckin $300-400+ per day consistently. i changed my bid strategy. manual bidding, target cost of $14 per purchase. this is the average number i've been getting after $10k spend in one of my LLA CBO campaigns. so i duplicated the campaign and now doing manual bidding on it. i'm hoping that manual bidding will get me a consistent 1.50+ ROAS on this CBO. 1.50 isn't even that great too, i see a lot of guys on youtube getting 2.00+ consistently which is fucking nuts. however, 1.50 ROAS gets me like 20-25% profit margin which i am 100% happy with. getting 20% profit margin is perfect. anything below that then it would be a problem. but i am happy with a steady 1.50 ROAS across the board if i can get that. and if i get that, all i need to do is pump more money into the system. soon i can drop $5k per day on these campaigns and generate near $8-10k per day in sales which would be epic. at 20% profit margin that's like 1.5-2k per day in profit which is banging.
it's time to fucking break this shit. no more fucking around with shitty campaigns and low ROAS. going to be stepping up my game AGAIN and crushing new boundaries. this is what i fuckin do and this is what i have been fuckin doing. i have my VA that i pay every week for her work. she is handling all my support inquiries and facebook comments. so i am free to scale to the fucking moon and she will take care of the support shit on the back end. i've got my agent doing my order fulfillment. my bases are covered. all my shit is automated. now i just need to do my job which is advertise the fuck out of this store and bring in fuck tons of orders by the truckload every day.
by feburary/march i want to have at least 15k+ saved up and at that point i'll be making the move to contact manufacturers and begin that process of improving this product and seeing if i can get a prototype drafted

another day of testing. i put up a new creative yesterday, it didn't do too well. 6 relevance score. i put up a new one last night, it's still in review. each creative takes 24 hours before it gets approved which massively sucks
i'm just going to keep trying new creatives to be honest. keep testing the first 3 seconds. if i can't hold people's attention with this clip, then i'll keep trying. i'll just keep finding the most shocking, the most crazy and wild 3 second clips that i can. add tons of emojis to the clip, anything i can find or use, anything that will get people to just stop scrolling and watch at least half the video. that's what i want, an average video watch time of 8-12 seconds. let's see if i can do it

The reason why the op is not turning a profit is because it costs him too much to bring in traffic that converts. He just keeps throwing money at facebook and expects a different result and gets frustrated when he does not get one.
Very few people make money on the front end when they buy traffic, it is always the backend where the profit is. When you build campaigns you need to understand that. The op does not, so that is why he is not making the money he wants.
Email works best for backend sales because you own the list, it can never be taken off you and people need an email address to make an online purchase. Anything else you can lose, the third party can ban/stop you or increases the price. But that cannot happen with email, so anything else comes with a risk.
For example the op is talking about pivoting his store. He will have to start again and pay for traffic all over again. I am just launching a new store this week. Due to other similar stores I have an opt-in email list of about 130,000 people. I will just email them all about my new store and it will cost me almost $0 to launch and I will make profit from the get go.

But the problem is, in my Country we only use email for register social media and never open it again.
It mean if i have 1 million email list, i still wont get any profit because we never open our email.
