Hi guys, sorry for the noob question (i am sure it is). I'm not particularly computer-literate.

I'm starting an email campaing with c*op*ea**c soon and was just wondering if i needed to cloak the traffic.

What will the traffic source say the clicks came from? gmail, yahoo mail, etc... or different?

Is that bad with CPAs?

Are you asking about cloaking your affiliate link, or cloaking your referrer. Obviously there would be a respective process for each.

Does the specific campaign that you are about to start not allow email referrals? If they do there is no sense in hiding it? If they don't then you need to find a way to cloak it.

Since you have been thanked 57 times in 5 posts you are allowed a noob question or two. You obviously helped some other people.

Cloaking the referrer. The reason I ask this is because I read that CPAs hate blank referrers but on the other hand I don't want them to know I'm using email marketing.

Ok this makes sense to me. Thanks!

Sure if you want a site with no sales or seo work done yet. Those sites state the the websites could make x amount over time. When all is said and done, its only worth what someone wants to pay for it unless its making x amount a year.

Using email traffic they can't see anything just coming from , Aweber,GR, etc. If you want to hide try using prosper202 . It will do the job. Or use double meta refresh. The reason they do not like it when you hide the traffic is that they can't steal your campaign. Talk to your affiliate manager and say that you hide your traffic, and assure them these leads are real , and that they will see conversions. As long as they won't get complaints from the advertiser , they won't say anything to you . But use any advice you find here at your own risk.
