I recently paid 240.00 to botw(dot)org during a special they were having. I am told that they are a PR 7 link, and it will really help my strictly WhiteHat ecommerce website with higher SERPs.

It has been over 3 weeks and I've not seen any of the benefits, and am thinking of taking them up on their 30 day money back guarantee. I dont want to act too hastefully if the effects wont take effects until after a month, however am considering the refund while I can. What is everyone's thoughts? Is 240.00 too much for a whitehat PR 7?

What does your competition look like? Are they in this directory and how many searches per month do your main keywords get?

The way I see it if you can make a profit off a venture such as this then it will be worth it. BOTW and DMOZ will benefit you - but only in the long run and mostly with medium to difficult keywords.

I think in the long hall it will help you out. Its kind of like the yahoo director. If you are listed there then your listing is pulling into other sites. So to have a site listing here would help.

As far as the cost every site is different. So it really comes down to do you have the money if so I would live it.

Yeh, I'd give it some time. Sometimes Google just takes a while to reindex your site. I've had sites take over a month before feeling any link juice from a link building campaign.

That being said, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a single link. There are plenty of hi PR sites like blogs and forums that you can get your links on without paying that kind of money.

Agreed there are many services for sale on this forum that will yield fantastic results for less than $240

    1. PR is quite useless for improving your search engine ranking. A PR3 can beat PR7 in SERP easily. Better spend $240 on other SEO services.

    2. If you concern about upgrading your website's PR, Google updates PR about every 3 - 4 months. Only 3 weeks and you already complaining? It's way toooooo early.

Wow, I've never heard of people paying $240 for a single backlink. You could outsource backlinking to an indian guy for two weeks at that price.

$240 for a single link? Holy crap. Waaaaayyy too much unless it was a mega page. Go search out .edu and .gov sites for free to get just as much juice as something from this.

Yes its definately too much .. 240? for 1 pr 7 link? If they offered a couple of them I would say its a good deal but not for 1 link

I feel like it's the best idea to start with a bunch of cheap, but strong directories that have unexposed categories. Your going to get much more link juice this way, you're abel to control the anchor text, etc. Long story short, it results in faster results in the SERPS. Then you can focus on BOTW of Yahoo.

A PR7 is nice.. But just one won't rocket you to the top of google. Get the refund while you can and get scrapebox instead

OK, I see what it is
    It's not even PR7 link
    Home page is PR7
Main categories are PR5 but there are no links accepted on those
So he got lifetime link but not on PR7 page, Not even PR5 link, most likely on PR0 subcategory page
    240 ?? What a rip off!!!

I like this idea. Get a refund and get scrapebox or spend a couple hundred more and get xrumer. You'll be able to build awesome results for yourself that way.

If you bought this for just backlink then it's not worth... Take your money back from them.

Directory listing got it's own benefits and if you consider that then it could be good deal....

Anyway only you can decide and give some time before you can expect any change in SERPs because of it.
