Hello to the BHW community and I hope everyone is doing awesome today! :D So, after checking on a few of my sites, I found out that one of my sites just hit the first page of Google and I just registered the domain 5 days ago! It's an EMD and I optimized the on site content though I have not done any off site SEO and have not built a single link! It has over 2,400 Exact Monthly Searches with an average CPC of $3.00+ and it's in the Weight Loss niche. I was very happy to see the results for sure and this goes to show that EMD's are still valueable and can still be ranked. Just thought that I would share this with everyone as there's been some speculation regarding EMD's lately and was excited to share the results :)

Q: What TLD?
 
Yes, EMD's still have value - I too have a site on page one, not without building any backlinks but I only added links from my own & friends sites. Mine's in the very competitive weight loss niche too, so I have to admit that I'm surprised the EMD has pretty much got me there by itself.

Hello Smirker, I didn't use a software I was just searching manually. I used the Google KeyWord tool and then exported my Data and did a Bulk Domain Search with GoDaddy to see if there were any available EMD's and I ran across quite a few good ones :)
 
Are you sure its EMD not on site optimizations?

Yes.Doing it manually really pays back.You will get sense actually what to do.I does the same.Thanks for tips by the way.I can see many EMDs are on first page for high value keywords.Its a working trend right now.
 
I'm sure the On Site SEO & EMD are both playing their part but the EMD is definitely what's ranking it so quickly.

Sometimes google ranks new sites for few days, do post your results after 2 weeks.
 
Yes, it's a possibility it's in the Google Dance Phase but from past experience with the competition I'm seeing, I think this one will stick but time will definitely tell!

I bought an emd (org) with near about 400000 searches per month. Currently almost finished working with the landing pages / content etc. Let's hope for the best :)

Yes, I will be making a more detailed Post/Thread later on today with more information on using the Google KeyWord which will go more in depth on how to use it and how to use it properly.

External Masked Domain - It is hyper-dimensional domain registration which exists in a bi-lateral plane of the 4th dimension. It masks it self using alien DNA to look like a normal domain so it can reside in our internet without being detected.
