Amazing today's Breakdance release announcement:

Oxygen Builder, the future of builders!... some said...
lol, the sarcasm levels on this thread title are God-like levels.

As one of the persons who have always recommended Oxygen was being the best websites builders on the market not only for its versatility but also for the quality of the websites when it comes to performance and taking into account what might be happening behind closed doors with the launch of the Breakdance builder, I still stand behind my recommendations.

Also, the fact Oxygen might most likely be heading towards the end by no means does this has anything to do with the tool itself and more of poor marketing and, more specifically, how the Oxygen team priced the product.

As we all know, software and apps require constant cash flow and investment to cover the expenses of the updates and bug fixes and this is something REALLY hard to do when you´re offering such a product under a "one-time" and "lifetime" deal. Eventually, that cash flow will not be enough for covering those business expenses.

Botton line, "one-time" and "lifetime" pricing structures are NOT a sustainable business model in the long run, and Oxygen Builder has unfortunately reached its peak in that regard hence, why the Oxygen Builder team has decided to launch yet another page builder with a VERY similar UI to Oxygen but with a more user-friendly approach similar to Bricks.

This Breakdance builder when publicly released to the public will be launched under a yearly subscription.

My 2cc

I posted a notice about it on Wednesday on my profile posts here in the forum, and my take on it is, that it will hopefully be good for new users that don´t wanna spend a huge amount of time to re-learn the Oxygen way since this seems to be more newbie friendly, it will appeal to a broder group of people. We will just have to wait and see, but since it is coded by the Oxygen team it will probably be a quality product.

I've been advocating for Oxygen lately but definitelly I'm starting to be dissapointed on how they could be handling this (specially because I've invested in many side-plugins like Hydrogen, OxyMade,....) and I was planning on buying this week the Oxywind before they remove the LTD.

What It's absurd is that plenty of plugins have had their LTD for ages and they still keep them alive, including Elementor, WPML and ACF Pro

Even ACF Pro was bought by a major company in WP, and they have honoured their LTD users without excuses.

So basically what's very funny, was thinking that Oxygen could be the future, and maybe is not. In fact it's weird that they are now advocating for a Elementor-like plugin (trying to preserve their WPO) but still maybe they feel defeated by the evidence, that 99% of the WP users are no-coders and don't even want to understand fundamentals of CSS to give a go to Oxygen? It was kind of obvious. This is why I never advocate for Oxygen openly. Only within the people I already know that have some foundations on CSS. And this is what I believe is defeating Oxygen and the true reason why the start moving towards Breakdance.

And the fact that this was a 3-year secret: I can't believe it. I would like when I have time, to check a little bit the code of both Oxygen and Breakdance, to see how much of the code is being reused. I would say that at best they have been recoding Breakdance for 1 year, no more.

What are the chances that they're all going to get fucked by WP editor? All site and page builders I mean. As intriguing as this is, I wonder whether they are still disillusioned by the success of the page builder market in the classic editor days and think they can still consistently achieve the same feats of success? I already spend too much time learning various builders and am looking for an absolute selling point here to convince me to even try it. Still looking for it.

Clarify something for me, which of those tools offering LTD also had monthly/yearly subscriptions?

I ask this because, sure, a software/app can offer an LTD but NOT without having a monthly/yearly subscription.

Personally, it´s been a while since I´ve seen software or an app surviving beyond the 5-year mark while offering ONLY a "one-time" or "lifetime" deal.

Even ACF Pro was bought by a major company in WP, and they have honoured their LTD users without excuses.
Was the LTD the ONLY pricing plan available for AFC Pro? Or did they also have monthly/yearly subscriptions?

..still maybe they feel defeated by the evidence, that 99% of the WP users are no-coders and don't even want to understand fundamentals of CSS to give a go to Oxygen?..
I agree this also played a huge part in their lack of growth but, I ask you this...Doesn´t Webflow work in a similar way as Oxygen in that regard?

This is why I never advocate for Oxygen openly.
Yeap, that was my mistake...Lesson learned :D :P
