Hello, i brought an expired domain for my PBN and used archive to load back all the previous bloggers content. They have hunted me down (she doesn't know who i am) through an old FB page.

Whats the deal. Where do i stand. am i allowed to buy a deleted domain and re-instate its content. Also as I'm using this for a PrivateBN can they get Google Snooping and de-indexing.

    Whats your thoughts

Sell it for a higher fee

Unless it's copyrighted then just part ways, not worth the hassle
If it's the business owner then most likely trying their luck

    Is the content copyrighted ?

Is the domain a brand name ?

They can't do anything about you now owning the domain, you can use it for porn, re-direct or whatever you want.
They could get funny about the content though.

If she wants to buy it back, you've chance to make a swift profit.

You can do whatever you want with the domain but you can't put up the old content as you don't own the copyright, the original creator retains copyright.

So it depends how bright the original owner is. If they want to get lawyers involved you'll be pretty fucked, especially since you're profiting off their copyrighted work and you knowingly published it. There's zero chance you'll successfully argue you didn't knowingly copy the site.

Either take a gamble that nothing happens, or remove the content and know that nothing can be done.

If they are business owners, they want to hope they still own it. If they dissolved their company you can keep it.

If warning comes up and it's legit just fold, close domain and move on.

I am not sure about this, if this is still handled this way, but I've looked it up when I used some copyrighted domain names back in the days, just to get familiar with it. If domain name copyright issue comes up (when you simply do not want to give up of domain) and you do not act and get things more serious this is where it will probably end up:
    https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/help/dndr/udrp-en
    For example (from archive):
    https://archive.icann.org/en/udrp/Detail126.htm

Now I'm not sure if things are still handled this way but I know when I looked up that matter about domain names and copyright.

Since its just a person's name, may be you should just transfer it to them (after getting the normal price of the domain) and get some good karma... Profiting on somebody's miseries is not worth it... If I was in your place, I would have happily transferred it to them....

Yes this is a good point of view, but not in real life unfortunately. Why would you do so? What if you own johndoeloe.com and some "John Doeloe" contact you about this, but he was actually asked by some John Doeloe to get him domain johndoeloe.com for $500. So you would be actually giving away YOUR domain to someone for free to the scammer who gets $500 for it. It's not that simple.

I totally understand that he does not want his old content on this site. It's not your right to use the old content so simply switch it, getting a few pbn articles shouldn't be that expensive.

Posting old content on the site is illegal and they have a right to request you to take it down.

Regarding copyrighted names, well, it depends what's the name of the domain. Can I make a website called Mcdonaldsburgers.com and promote my food services? No, because I am getting an economical advantage from someone else's name in the same niche. If I were to made a site called McDonaldsfarm.com and write shit about animals, then that's completely fine and in no breach of any copyright laws.

However, be careful using logos and other visual trademarks. Those are a huge no regardless of niche.

Of course if a person 'decides' to cheat/scam No force in this universe can stop him from doing.. One can only be cautious.. I definitely agree that its not that simple as you clearly indicated.. But then, these things are highly subjective...
