If you are not in the U.S. there is a lot of issues you will run into if you are trying to make money online. Especially if you are in a country like India, Thailand, etc.

How many of you have issues with your location and IM?

Hope all is well for everyone!

Why will you have issues? If you do have issues with certain things, then adapt your business model. It's not that hard.

In the current global economy, it's very easy to setup companies in different countries if you need to get round restrictions. I'm not in the US, and I've never once had a problem.

Have you ever had any issues with joining a CPA company being outside of the U.S?

I have seen multiple forum posts on BHW about people in other countries who find it hard to join affiliate networks, or even CPA networks. It must stink if that's true.

No, and my company is registered in Eastern Europe so not exactly a region with a great reputation. As long as you speak to the affiliate managers first (call or Skype) then you won't have a problem in my experience.

Some networks will reject you based on country, but not all. People who get rejected like to come up with excuses... usually it's because they didn't bother calling the company regarding their approval.

Non-US here too and never had any issue. As meathead says, you have to adapt to the business and not hope the business adapts to you.

It's harder for people in countries like India, Thailand etc., but the rewards are much greater. $500/month doesn't mean half as much in USA as it does in India - it's below the poverty line in USA, and it's enough to comfortable live in India, in a big city, with a rented flat/pg(paying guest).

I'm from India, and I have ZERO problems with IM. The part where most people fail is getting a credit card and a stable paypal account, which isn't tough at all if you don't do shady stuff.. What else is there to it?

This is all great to hear! I was wondering if it was a big issue. Good to hear it's not.

Thanks for clearing things up for me everyone.

I was wondering if that was an issue, people could use a VPN to get a U.S. IP. to help them get approved. What do you all think?

No, this is a bad idea. Networks track fraud for a living so you'll be found out pretty quickly.

Just be honest with them. If they don't want your business, find someone who does. We're lucky to be in an industry with a huge range of choice when it comes to almost everything, so don't let a few set backs stop your business moving forward.

This. People lie to themselves, and then justify their lie with a forum post, too often. Even an instant messaging chat can get you approved although a call is better. Any network worth their salt will want to call you so if you're international just speed this up and avoid any possible conflict of time zones and/or long distance charges for them by giving them a call. If you can talk to someone for 5 minutes and be half way knowledgeable about the basics (I read a CPA application script here when I first started and knew nothing to get an idea of some terms) you will get approved. They want you to make them money, they are concerned more with you being a scammer or not worth their time than with what country you are from for the most part.

I get the famous WowHaxor in my first thread in a while! :) great day haha

That's very true though all it takes is one phone call, and they are usually pretty nice to talk to also. Haha, I had a cheerful woman the first time I called my AM.

Agree with this 100%. I got a call from Neverblue when I signed up, and despite language differences(his english was really hard to understand and I had to repeat myself a few times as well), they approved me when I told them of my promotional strategies. All they want to know is that you're not a fraud and know how to get real leads.

Another thing, after my account got approved, I couldn't get approved for any of the approval based offers because I had no traffic history. So I called him up and he told me to email him with how I intend on promoting them and he'll try getting me approved for those, and he did get me approved for almost all of them within 24 hours.

They're here for doing business, and as long as you can prove you're legit, your country stereotype(India IS full of people who'd fill their own offers or click their own ads) won't matter.

So Neverblue specifically said "we've rejected your application because you are from India"?

Did you call them? Doubt it. Did you IM an affiliate manager? Doubt it.

    You are full of shit.

No way OP, IM can be done from any part of the world. Just as you have different conditions in local markets so is the same on internet market. But IM has far less restrictions than many other countries I would say.
