I have been doing all my link building my self so far, but it is just too time consuming and boring.

My new plan is to do all the tier 1 links my self (to insure quality) and then outsource tier 2 and tier 3 to a freelancer.

    Here is my plan:

I will set up a VPS with the tools for building the tier 2 and tier 3 links.

    The tools will be:

    • Kontent Machine
    • Captcha Sniper
    • GSA Search Engine Ranker

I will deliver a list with tier 1 urls to the freelancer.

    1. He will then generate content for tier 2 and tier 3 with Kontent Machine
    2. Set up GSA Search Engine Ranker with my list of urls and the generated content for tier 2
    3. Set up GSA Search Engine Ranker with verified tier 2 links and the generated content for tier 3
    4. Nurse GSA Search Engine Ranker and make sure everything is running.

Generating content and setting up GSA Search Engine Ranker should take ~1 hour and since GSA Search Engine Ranker is running on a VPS it will not occupy the freelancers computer. So I will pay for one hours work.

The work flow is very well described so it will be easy to pay per project and not be the hour.

What do you think is this a good setup?

Why? You already have the tools. Between GSA and Kontent Machine you've got your Tier's 2 and 3 nailed down with 10 minutes of work.

Well, it might not be the biggest task, but you still have to wait for the software, click all the settings, setup emails, copy/paste quite a bit, scrape keywords and check to see that everything is OK.

I can't generate the content and set up GSA in just ten minutes.

Sure I could do it my self, I just prefer to focus on building and maintaining quality tier 1 links.

good luck to you guys letting the job done by a VA...it's not complicated but most of them will mess things up...waste of money and time, unless you invest time with them...not sure if worth it

You leave the software running on autopilot. You put in the settings you want and it works better than most VA's could.

In regards to email: Create 100 in one go and use those over the course of a year (or day, whatever the case may be)

Copy/paste laziness? You're looking for excuses now, turkey.

Don't you think the time it would take to find and initially train your VAs could be spent better by doing the work yourself?

I hope Tier 1 isn't taking you a long time, because it shouldn't. Manual isn't the same as slow.

Bad idea IMO - i would say either outright buy the links from a link builder or stay on the DIY route and find a way to automate most of the repetitive tasks.

I have tons of link building tools and I have written dozens of scrips that automate most of the copy / paste stuff. This is not me being lazy, it's simply an attempt to save time and be more efficient.

For example, I have a script that builds the Xrumer projects directly so I don't have to fill in all the fields by hand; then I have another one that creates the schedule.xml file; back when I was using AMR 24/7 I built a crude scheduler so a number of articles could be submitted one after another without my intervention, and so on....

Pretty much every repetitive task can be automated and if you don't know any programming, you can still do it easily with autohotkey or AutoIt. Of course, if you decide to go down that road, don't go overboard - automate the most important or time-consuming tasks only; tools get updated all the time, so you would have to alter your scripts when that happens and it is definitely easier to alter a handful of scripts as opposed to several dozen
